Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Sep 10 → 2/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I am sorry, the guy who thought of the mole fight should not get a job, any job ever again.
its a good love letter to Suikoden
If you're a suikoden fan, I understand your standard but this is E10+ For an E10+ rating, I would say the story theme is really made for children but it still amazes me on how they made politics simple as possible for children to make it E10+ rating. Pros: Good turn based gameplay Quality of life improved Colors are vibrant Areas are lively Maps are great Cons: No speed up when it comes to gameplay War mode is not that fun U.I. is too much Characters are somehow linear or 1 dimensional probably because of E10+ rating. Too much optimism. Neutral: Story - for E10+ they did good but if you are a long time suikoden fan, for me it's still better than suikoden 1 but less than Suikoden2,5,3 Story is straightforward, not much twists but im still halfway, forget the hours i put in, most of the time it's alt tabbed.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is a spiritual successor to Suikoden, created by original series veterans and born from a record-breaking Kickstarter campaign. With a sprawling cast of 120 characters, large-scale battles, and a customizable fortress-town, the game offers a nostalgic yet modern JRPG experience. However, it suffers from pacing issues, lack of quality-of-life improvements, and uneven polish that hold it back from reaching its full potential—unless modded on PC.
Pros:
+ Impressive Character Roster: Featuring 120 recruitable heroes from diverse backgrounds, the game captures the essence of Suikoden’s large-scale recruitment mechanics. + Customizable Fortress-Town: The player’s base evolves into a thriving city with meaningful visual and functional upgrades, offering satisfying progression and deep customization. + Cinematic 1v1 Battles: Duels are well-directed and feel like anime-style action scenes, offering visual flair and excitement. + Accessible Gameplay Difficulty: The game is not overly punishing, with most challenges solvable through team setup and basic strategy, making it approachable for a wide audience. + Variety in Combat Modes: Includes traditional six-member battles, large-scale skirmishes, and one-on-one duels, adding variety to the combat system. + Emotional Development Background: The game carries emotional weight, particularly as it was the final work of Suikoden creator Yoshitaka Murayama before his passing.
Cons:
- Severe Pacing Issues: Combat, especially on auto-mode, is painfully slow with no speed-up option, making grinding and long battles tedious. - Tedious Completion Requirements: 100% completion demands repetitive and uninspired minigames, such as overly long card battles or slow-paced cooking duels. - Underwhelming Story Depth: The narrative lacks the emotional and political complexity of Suikoden, feeling more like a surface-level anime plot. - Rushed Endgame & DLCs: The final segments and post-launch content feel rushed, with minimal impact or depth, and could have been integrated into the base game. - Inconsistent Worldbuilding: Elements like the Lenses and the antagonist’s motives are underexplored, missing opportunities for rich lore. - Unbalanced Optional Content: Some minigames required for full recruitment are unpolished and drag the pacing down, making optional content feel mandatory. - Uneven Music Quality: Despite having Motoi Sakuraba on board, most of the soundtrack is forgettable and fails to stand out, especially when compared to Suikoden.
Final Rating: B
*Rating from lowest to highest: C, B, A, S.
I bought, attempted to play, and requested a refund almost immediately. The keybindings were impossible, and for some reason it wouldn't accept my controller. Seeing other reviews months later, and these issues remain, so it seems clear that they don't care.
Honestly? I'm roughly 16 or so hours into the game, but pretty far past many of the first major milestones, etc, and I can say I love this game. Sure, I think it takes a person who appreciates a good story driven JRPG to fully enjoy it, but I find this to be a mix between Chrono Cross and Suikoden (or Octopath Traveler) in all of the best ways...and honestly it's been addicting and stunning to me so far. There is *so* much to do and everything I've done seems to open up something else to do. I can see myself putting many hours into this game! If I *WERE* to have a complaint, I'd say yes, sometimes the cutscenes can be a bit close together when your anxious for some action, but again, as I have played many story driven RPGs, it just takes a little getting used to. Otherwise, the artwork and transitions are all amazing and what a stunning job will all of the voiceover work, especially with such an extensive and ellaborate cast of characters. Love it!
