"Sorry We're Closed" is a PS1 retro stylized survival horror game, with heavy Silent Hill influences. However, this game is extremely vibrant, colorful, and includes mostly queer LGBTQ+ characters. Gameplay involves cycling between the real world and a demon world with the push of a button. Your character explores creepy areas, talks to some very interesting characters, and shoots / stabs demons in search of a way to deal with a certain powerful demon that is searching for love. The game takes approximately 6-7 hours to complete your first playthrough. There is a New Game+ mode and a total of 4 endings for replayability. + The art direction is fantastic. + Excellent world building with interesting characters. I actively wanted to talk to everyone to see what they would say. Well written and funny dialog. Original story with many storyline branches to choose from. + The boss fights are incredibly well designed. + Awesome music, especially during boss fights. - The original battle mechanic takes some getting used to. I found the regular battles to be more annoying than fun, hence why I will not be going for 100% on the game and get all the endings. This is not a typical survival horror game where you bash enemies with pipes and shoot them in third person mode. In this game the developers tried something new, you have to switch to first person mode and aim at the demon's heart, which moves around constantly. Interesting concept in theory, but not fun in practice. Protip: If playing with a controller, turn the look sensitivity up to the max. - The last hour of the game drags on, lots of added filler. - I did not enjoy the random puzzles at the end of the game. - No unlockable outfits / crazy weapons for New Game plus? Quality game, lots of originality here. However, the annoying battle mechanics and filler last act bring the game's score down a bit for me. Overall: 8/10

Personalmente, me ha encantado. Lo que más destaca es su apartado artístico, que es precioso, y una historia con personajes muy bien escritos. Se nota el cariño que el estudio ha puesto en el juego. Las mecánicas son simples, pero muy entretenidas, y conseguir los distintos finales y logros invita a rejugar sin que se haga pesado. También quiero destacar la traducción al español, que está muy bien cuidada y se nota que ha sido hecha con dedicación. Si te gustan los juegos indie y las propuestas diferentes, Sorry We're Closed es un juego al que deberías darle una oportunidad.

Ни одного straight песонажа, только трансформеры. Причём некоторые настолько трансформеры, что к ним обращаются не he/she а they. Я раза с четвёртого только допёр, что это их pronouns, а то понять не мог, про какую такую группу лиц вдруг ни с того ни с сего начинается базар. Такое дикое количество Qперсон на квадратный метр просто делает всё нереалистичным сюром. И второе это саундтрек. На любом боссфайте играет репчина представителей афроамериканской расы. Только на ластбоссе это не так, там просто унылый дженерик ост, но всё лучше чем ^ Гейплей нормальный, визуал нормальный, всё вроде нормально, нажимать кнопки приятно, но сёстры-братья разрабы умышленно хотели сделать игру без гетеро людей, за что получают заслуженный отзыв. Я кстати на все ачивки прошёл!

I love this game so much, I bought it on PS5 just to platinum it. It plays like an old PS2 game, which was a nice change of pace. The story, art style, and music are beautiful. I constantly have the hotel music in my head. The characters have all kinds of personalities and entertaining. Please, please give this game a try. I can't wait to see what the developers come up with next.

The art direction is a uniquely beautiful and horrifying DIY collage that feels meaningful to the overall theme. In the spirit of indie games, Sorry We're Closed pays respects to its roots while blending the contemporary and overlooked communities.

An excellent queer horror game for anyone who loves the classic Resident evil style of shooter/horror. The story is captivating, the gameplay flows smoothly, the characters are iconic, and the style is dripping with flavor. An easy recommendation for any queer person, anyone who loves classic shooter horror games, or just anyone curious about it really.

good control system wins for me. this is the best game of my 2026.
