I played for a decent amount of time but ultimately it just didn't deliver on anything promising. Good ideas? Sometimes. Poorly realised. One out of fifteen nekaroos.
Wow, one of the most repetitive games I've ever played. Sure, it looks good and the crystal crafting and weapon crafting was pretty fun, but it is so poorly paced it hardly matters. I've beaten 100s of RPGs and would say that, especially mechanically, this is just a slog. You don't even get your permanent third character until more than 20 hours and don't get your 4th until about 90% of the game is done and then shortly after your party is split for a decent portion. I get there are narrative reasons for getting party members 3 and 4 so late, so the simple solution is to add a few "filler" characters or slightly less important so players can get more of a chance to experience the battles with a full party of four. The game needlessly hampers itself by not giving a full party sooner as far as combat. Graphical glitches still occur and sometimes, going into battle, I had black screens. You know how you don't want a game to end sometimes? With this one I was constantly asking "Is it over yet? The last dungeon just goes on and on. Some battles, especially bosses have annoying gimmicks that are poorly explained. Played on normal the entire time with no issue, even thinking to increase difficulty... but suddenly the last phase of the last boss with the hands is way too hard even on easy (but finally beat it), which shows the game is very poorly balanced. Just a real slog. Devs have a lot to improve on for their second game. Game clock says 45:57

I wanted to like this game, the battle system really impressed me at first. It has no hook, and it's just so buggy.
Bought when was on Sale. Despite seeing negative reviews I took a chance. 9 hours in and I think it's pretty solid. The graphics, The music. The monsters. The Story. All the side quests. Runs smooth for me. I have run into two issues - when you flee a a battle they look a little choppy running off screen. But whatever. Then there was the repetition of one of the monsters coming closer through battle. Like it got stuck? But it cleared up after battle and I haven't run into it sense. Not sure if it was that one spot or me in general. I feel like the game is a mashup of all favorited RPGs. The map feels very open and you can run around and harvest items. They glow so its easy to spot. There are hidden chests on the map too. Sometimes I feel like the map could have a little more monster encounters. Which you can see - they are not blind pop up encounters. Powering up is interesting. You use crystal to empower your weapon. You can combine them in town at little workshop desks. The fighting style is pretty basic with the added move around on a map grid which is new for me. You can pick up new gear. It doesn't change how your character looks - which would have been neat. Weather can also be changed for fighting. You can ride a cat mount ;3 There is a talking plant XD He's kinda sassy. I like it.
After 23 hours I: - had changed the combat difficulty to very easy - found myself avoiding combat and side quests as much as possible to continue the main story I do not recommend a game where I am avoiding combat, a core aspect of a game. I was avoiding it because: - I do not feel I have any options - The game expects me to use options Result: Boss Battles are lost while feeling I am not able to do anything different I did not feel motivated to learn. The side content feels like running-from-a-to-b-in-the-same-beach-meadow-woods-style-MMO without the MMO-type rewards like cosmetics and stuff. PS: The achievements are also telling: 58% of players have the first Main quest achievement. Achievements after 10 hours of play: less then 10% The final achievement in my list: 6%.
Polecam
Voice acting is really good for a small team. Games kind of janky with barren bits of open world.
