Echoes of the Plum Grove

I bought this game a year ago and was so frustrated because I couldn't even figure out how to get the starting tools. I was put off by some of the darker aspects of the game. I recently decided to give it another try and am enjoying it. It is a challenging and grindy survival and generational farming life sim. Don't expect deep romance, but the NPCs have a mix of personality traits which makes it interesting to interact with them. It's sad that NPCs grow old or get sick and die, but because you and the NPCs marry and have children, the island would quickly become overcrowded and lack employment opportunities for the children if the old folks didn't pass on. A constantly evolving cast of characters keeps things interesting. It seems like the game is mostly complete now, and the developers have added a number of quality of life improvements since the initial release. As for the darker aspects, so far I've been able to succeed without having to murder or insult anyone. I have some complaints. Playing with a controller seems half-baked. I can move around just fine, and change rows in the inventory, but I still have to use my mouse or touchscreen to select individual items in the toolbar. Also the game does not allow me to water the fields as quickly as I'd like. You have to water one square at a time, and sometimes I'm still moving when I click the button to water and it doesn't work. The game's economy could use some work. Flour should be worth more than 3 raw wheat, bread should be worth more than 3 raw wheat + 1 egg, and Pumpkin Bread should be worth more than Bread. I don't see why you would ever invest in a Mill building, you'd just be losing money on a vast scale.

I love a lot about this game! It's slow paced but not boring, wholesome and cosy, but not without crisis and drama! The art style is very cute too!

i love how peaceful it is the designs are cute and fun game my 2 main complaints are controls cand get aggravating when using the mouse and some quest have to short a time frame and especially annoying when you can't get to npc when there shops closed or they just disappear like the ghost ones but it doesn't hurt the game play so i recommend it highly

Visually simple but thematically distinctive, it’s best suited for players who enjoy slower-paced colony or life sims with a bit of consequence baked in. Recommended for fans of relaxed but slightly melancholic life sims.

I love the art style and everything and i have not played very long but too many thing just don't get explained. food? it runs out so quick, and every thing that could help is WAY to expensive or you need to have a ton of different expensive to make it. and then if you try to resell it? NOPE it will sell way cheaper than you bye like had clicked on it by accsedent [sorry for spelling] and i tried to sell it back, I bought it for around 46 or 49 dollars and it resold for 13. And I also had lost a ton of profit because of the stupid watering rule that say you lose your seeds if you don't water them. AND THAT IS NEVER EXPLAIND!!!!!! honestly i am going to keep playing it because it is cute and i want my moneys worth, but do not recommend because of bad macanics it not worth, IN MY OPINION. please don't be mad at me people who love the game. thank you

Really enjoying the game, building up your farm through generations is fun and even the added element of diseases adds an interesteding element to the game. Absoultely love the music scores, would recommend this as a great cozy game!

This is a lovely cosy game and I can't wait to see it grow more over time x plays very smoothly on Mac too :)

Melhor jogo POSSÍVEL!! nn é repetitivo por causa do replace de npcs e tem MT plot, além de ser muito bom o medo de ficar doente e sobreviver ao menos um ano, eu me casei com a filha do prefeito e o jogo tem sido mt bom
