About
E.O.T.B REMASTERED is an upcoming remastered version of E.O.T.B, currently in development, offering the finest cinematic quality of the game, exactly as i envisioned it from the start. Its been almost three long years crafting this experience, and i am very proud to see, true horror come to life one last time. You can either support the game by getting it now and playing it later (when the remaster launches - you get a discount as well that way), OR if you are really eager you can play the current version of it!
READ ME!
The remastered version of the game is in development, players that have already bought the game will receive the remastered version for free.
AFTER THE REMASTER LAUNCHES, PRODUCT PRICE WILL INCREASE.

You play as Oliver, a mechanic at a secret underground laboratory. There, a non government organization tries multiple tests to achieve creating a time machine, however while tweaking one of the machines it errors, creating a dimension paradox, specifically a portal to a non-linear dimension, the Backrooms. A place where time and space unfold in unforeseen ways. Will you find a way back to your reality? Or will you become part of this twisted horror dimension?
- Quick Dev Note
Keep in mind that this game was single handedly crafted from scratch by 1 person! If any issues occur, even after the remaster, please offer constructive feedback via reviews or the forums.

Echoes of the Backrooms is a very visually impressive and atmospheric game. The environment is very spooky and mysterious and there are opportunities for the player to investigate and progress into a slowly unfolding drama. Fantastic lighting, and good quality game play. If you enjoy slow burn atmospheric horror. This game is for you! I would have progressed further into the game.... but I was toooo scared....
It pains me to give this a negative review because I was really looking forward to it and doesn't look or feel like a bad game, but I had to ask for a refund due to constant crashes and freezing. First freezing happened at the end of level 0, then in the pool rooms also got crashes. Now I tried a dozen times continue the game from where I had stopped because of the crash, and the game just hangs on the loading screen and get stuck there. I had enough of this. Plus, the game is still unpolished and poorly optimized. EDIT: To address the dev's comment: Intel i5 13400 RTX 3060TI 32GB DDR5 RAM Windows 10
At a glance I think the game looks like a pretty standard backroom game. I am not your typical backroom player, so my opinion on this might weigh less than some.
Overall:
EOBT is NOT a typical "Liminal Game", for the better. The game blends the liminal with the otherwordly which creates an atmosphere, which I can only describe as a mix between, the backrooms and SCP. It offers a varied set of levels, some that are are familiar to many of the other liminal games out there, and even moreso, some that are original. A breathe of fresh air in what to me have become a quite stale genre of games. Below are some more thoughts:
Gameplay:
In terms of gameplay I think the game innovates a lot more in the terms of puzzles than most. The game does not really handhold the player for the puzzles and there is no guidance either, really. It offers atmospheres from the calm to the creepy, and also some jumpscares, while doing these. Each puzzle sections also offers quite cool differing environments.
Immersion:

Audio:
From the perspective of immersion the game is extremely well made. It uses a system which essentially makes the sound of objects bounce around in the level which is not something we see in many games. It creates a really cool atmosphere where rooms takes a completely different presence and the developer used it quite heavily with relation to music boxes that play music. It's a super cool effect. Overall audio in the game is top notch. Sometimes I caught myself walking back into levels to look at the environment, and only realised after the attention to detail in the game that I otherwise missed. Unfortunately this detail is often hidden by the fact that some levels have a storm blowing through which essentially overtake all other sound.
Graphics:
Really good graphics. Varied environments that feel original. Nothing to complain about here. Better graphics than most liminal games I've played or seen.
Total playtime:
2 hours roughly, probably a bit more.
Cons:
I had one crash in the game. Pretty standard for most games, considering Bethesda launches AAA titles with 500 of them, lol. But I had to restart the first level because of it. A bit lacking in the story department. The game actually has a really strong opening in terms of immersion, which is shocking in what is otherwise a "wake up in yellow room" story progression. It does however kind of falter off quite quickly and just kind of devolve into a more typically ambiguous nature that these games have, for better or worse.
---------------------------- This game is nice! But I still can't get out of the backroom. I'm satisfied with this purchase.
Absolutely incredible! I’ve played this game before, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The visual quality is top-notch, with few frame drops and a quite superb optimization tool, maintaining a stable 80 FPS throughout (if you set it up correctly of course). The story is interesting, the atmosphere is more than immersive, and the sound design is outstanding. Played the final version after the update, just to check the improvements and it was well worth it. Quite a Backrooms gem!
I was glad to finally play this game but the fact that before you can even progress further into the game you need to look around in pitch black darkness to find a light switch and turn on the power like? that makes no sense at least give the player a flashlight so they can look for the light switch instead of wondering around in darkness the game looks great but I can't tell cause of the gameplay I'm seeing so far so I wouldn't suggest buying this game unless you have Cat eyes and can see in the dark so
I received a key for this game from the developer- Alexandros who is a good friend of mine and I honestly couldn’t be more proud of what he’s built. The sound design is incredible, immersive, disturbing, and atmospheric. The visuals are absolutely stunning, with lighting and texture work that you can feel. And the attention to detail? Beautiful. You can sense the care poured into every corner, every shadow and every glitch in the environment. While I understand why some of the reviews are negative despite of that though, Alexandros (DarkSight Studio), built this entire experience on his own. This game doesn’t just want to scare you, it wants to mess with your head. And in that, it absolutely succeeds. Is it perfect? No. Is it ambitious and impressive? Without a doubt. If you’re someone who values atmosphere, artistry, and vision then this is a game worth experiencing. I know he’s already cooking up more, I might be involved in some of those upcoming projects.👀 Echoes was just the beginning, what’s coming next is going to be even more insane. Alexandros, I see your dedication, your passion, and your talent and I couldn’t be more proud, bravo my friend.
