About
E.O.T.B REMASTERED is an upcoming remastered version of E.O.T.B, currently in development, offering the finest cinematic quality of the game, exactly as i envisioned it from the start. Its been almost three long years crafting this experience, and i am very proud to see, true horror come to life one last time. You can either support the game by getting it now and playing it later (when the remaster launches - you get a discount as well that way), OR if you are really eager you can play the current version of it!
READ ME!
The remastered version of the game is in development, players that have already bought the game will receive the remastered version for free.
AFTER THE REMASTER LAUNCHES, PRODUCT PRICE WILL INCREASE.

You play as Oliver, a mechanic at a secret underground laboratory. There, a non government organization tries multiple tests to achieve creating a time machine, however while tweaking one of the machines it errors, creating a dimension paradox, specifically a portal to a non-linear dimension, the Backrooms. A place where time and space unfold in unforeseen ways. Will you find a way back to your reality? Or will you become part of this twisted horror dimension?
- Quick Dev Note
Keep in mind that this game was single handedly crafted from scratch by 1 person! If any issues occur, even after the remaster, please offer constructive feedback via reviews or the forums.

The backroooms is meant to be an endless void of dehumanizing architecture leading to hopelessness and insanity, and boy howdy if this game doesn't fully commit to that. There is no save system, so if you experience any bugs or crashes along your cryptic pixel-hunting journey, it's back to the beginning for you. I had the game fully crash on me after completing the 2nd puzzle and later I was tasked with finding an unspecified number of keys, got killed and jump-scared by the default backrooms entity thing, and when I was respawned both the key and the entity were gone, leading me to have no way of knowing whether the reason I couldn't progress was that I had missed another dark corner of one of dozens of completely visually interchangeable hallways which may have contained a key or if the current playthrough had been rendered null. Having played various other games of this genre which are good (Disminal and Pools are always recommended), I was slightly shocked by how badly this thing manages too adapt the aesthetic and experience into anything enjoyable or even pleasant to look at. I sunk 4 hours and 10 dollars into this thing and here's hoping this review will save someone else the turmoil.
Completed the game in exactly 5 hours. Definetly one of my favorite backrooms games of all time with ultra realistic graphics, amazing story and very fun gameplay. Just an amazing game im blown away. GG, would love to see the mall and fun levels added :)
One of the best backrooms games ever made, The atmosphere is fantastic, especially in the calm serene poolroom areas and the sense of dread in the lightning storms over Apocalyptic Cityscapes. Took me almost 3 hrs to complete, I must admit I got a bit stuck and lost in some areas, especially the first level:) Overall a fantastic backrooms experience:)
I finished the game in 2 hours. The graphics are next level, insane attention to detail on many factors including: Reflections, Light-to-Dark transitions and specific textures. Last but not least about the performance, I was playing the game at 100 FPS on epic settings with no frame drops at any point of my playthrough. If you looking to have a horror experience combined with next gen graphics, this game has all the criteria you need.
Quite the fantastic Backrooms experience with unfortunate technical hiccups. Theres so many of these games nowadays, but this one piqued my interest a lot. Echoes of the Backrooms is rather intriguing, as it offers you several backroom levels other games dont cover. For a first release of this studio its great. Atmospheric and really spooky at times. Many of the different levels offer somewhat frustrating but also unique puzzles. I feel like they are initially harder than they should be, but once you get the gist of them its manageable. While the game got already patched, the performance is still somewhat problematic, even on mid rigs. However its very much playable and still looks good with a bit of tweaking. I recommend setting the resolution to 50% and the game on medium or performance, with increased gamma. Its a great experience if it works as intended. The developer is still working on fixes as we speak, so dont be discouraged buying this. Better than the majority of backrooms games in this price range. Thank you Alexandros, for providing me with a copy, much appreciated! Horror/Surrealist centered Curator: KuriKuration
I was really looking forward to this game, but the optimization is lacking. I have a decent system and was running about 40-50 FPS on 6700 XT with an 8 core CPU. Changing setting did nothing for this. However I will say, this is a HUGE start of a solo game developer. I give you respect - and I do hope to see more. I am neutral on this game. I did the 4 keys with the chained door then the game did nothing - nothing happened. i decided to fall of the ledge and the game was on a loading screen for several, several, SEVERAL minutes. I had to control alt delete out of the game.
I have tried every backroom game on Steam and this one has the most realistic feel to it. There are a few others that are really good but level zero is amazing in this one!!! It does work in VR with UEVR, however you really have to knock down resolution and effects to make a good fps. I would like to make a couple of suggestions to the Developer. First off amazing work sir!!!!!!! I hope this game gets more traction. You deserve it! My suggestions would be a toggle for the vhs grain. I say that because in VR it looks really bad. The second suggestion would be to have a level selection option after the game is beat. This would make revisiting one's favorite atmosphere/level possible. :)
After all the bugs and patches and glitches... the game is... Yeah, it's the backrooms game. The vibe is here. If it runs well - you'll get your Backrooms fix. Recommended
I have played A LOT of backrooms games and this one was very good! In fact it might be one of my new favorites. My chat loved it and despite a few hiccups we made it through to the end. If you hit a loading screen transitioning that doesn't go away just restart the game and you can continue where you left off. First minutes of the game, needed to find a lightswitch. Can't find it even with exploring all the starting rooms. Lack of hints I guess but not playable for me atm.
