Good golf game with beautiful courses

When the game is stable, running without lag on my PC, I really enjoy the experience and the range of courses. (refer my PC specs) I control the game with an Elite series 2 Xbox controller. I have the Steam version for PC and I keep it current. On a fairly regular basis this game goes laggy and the swing timing is very unpredicable, which makes for a crap game experience. I have turned off most of the graphics enahancements (like other players, crowds, shaddows etc) and it still randomly misbehaves. It was so bad I gave up playing for a while until I learned about turning off most of the video features. I have played browser based games in the past with a more reliable game mechanic for consistent play experience. For the price and given this is an EA title, I think there is a significant amount of work needed to make the play experience consistent across platforms and PC specifications.

Edit: play on normal, the averaging system will f*ck you every time...I'd recommend it on normal but no other setting. This average bullsh*t is the dumbest sh*t ever. You can be -20 and end up +2 because they average you to their liking. PGA Masters is a scam. Typical EA development, a 2 mpg wind acts like 20 mph while a 7 mph wind does not. Programming at its best, EA cheats to win. their AI is phenomenal which means you suck and they're the ♥♥♥♥...... ♥♥♥♥ EA. So tired of their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up mechanics
