This game is complete trash. Horrible mechanics. Complete ass. Believe the reviews. They are not bots. Once again ♥♥♥♥ EA forever. I hope the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ responsible for this theft of my money goes straight to hell where they belong; with rest of the dirty rats.

best football game in 20 year

This is not fun. This is just Madden with college football skins. I even have all the best mods active. This game sucks. Boring, animation based EA garbage like usual. Uninstalled.
Complete and utter garbage in its current state. Absolutely not worth buying until MAJOR changes are made to countless aspects of the game. Road to Glory has been completely neglected and is almost entirely unplayable, and Dynasty continues to be completely broken as well. EA has proven once again to be a soulless corporation that does not deserve your hard earned money.
community in uproar over microtransactions but continues to let EA off the hook for same old bugs. I only play dynasty mode so keep that in mind while reading this. it is riddled with several extremely frustrating bugs that you must actively avoid so as to not ruin your experience of the game. First of all the gameplay is the same as it has always been. same bs animations, defenders teleporting to make tackles, intercept balls, being too lazy to animate actual pass rush and blocking so line just simply stand still whenever they lose their battle, rushers getting 99 speed suddenly so that the blitzing linebacker from the left (which of course you notice and shift the line to deal with who then dont block him at all) chases down your running back from behind on a run to the right (away from the blitz) because the game reduces their speed to 50 because its forcing you to take a tfl. rushers instantly shedding blocks and teleporting to you if you get anywhere near them. run between the tackles? nope sorry, your running back will literally freeze in place and then a defender will teleport to them to stop the run. and the age old getting tackled from behind or from the side that instantly erases all forward momentum because the game loves goal to go situations so your rb with 90 speed and 85 strength gets suplexed by a safety at the one who tackles him from the side or behind and magically you dont get in. at the very least they added new animations for this so it at least looks reasonable even though according to the laws of physics it isnt. this stuff is wrote and will not change so all of this jank is to be expected. however there are so many bugs in the recruiting part of dynasty its crazy. recruits have dealbreakers (nothing new of course) but lets say you need two running backs you go after a good recruit early with the plan to come in later and get a second running back after securing your other high value players. lets say the first running back, who has already committed to you, has a deal breaker of playing time. if you start recruiting another running it will trigger the dealbreaker and literally decommit them from you and lock you out. even if you have given them nil money, it just disappears and you lose all the time and budget you put into them. additionally, players who have deal breakers don't always show, so you spend 3 weeks recruiting someone and then suddenly are locked out because they have a playing style deal breaker. and now that other recruit you let go so that you could target them is gone as well so you've spent your time and money on a player that you could never even recruit to begin with which hurts your class. this happens all the time. coaches simply disappear, constantly. spend 500 points to hire a new coordinator, dont worry next season for some reason they only had a one year deal so now you have to resign them for even more money, or even better they are on a multi year deal but just randomly disappear taking your budget with them. and you only find out this has happened once a random F overall is suddenly hired to be your new coordinator. i have literally stopped spending money on coaches because this happens so often. i just accept having a terrible offensive and defensive coordinator because im not risking my budget simply disappearing. this happens to one or both of my coordinators about every other season. then there is the coaching tree in general, they dont want you to be able to purchase every ability which is fine but given that you literally cant have good coordinators without fear of them disappearing it feels bad to know that you can only invest heavily in one tree and then target other specific abilities at max level. you can earn about 2500 points and there are probably 10000 points worth of abilites in the game. so you really need good coordinators to have a good spread on the abilities. then there is the completely broken simulation. every single game if you just sim until the end both teams have a 50% chance of winning. the overall does not matter. i simmed a game 10 times versus and opponent who was 27 overall points lower than my team and they beat me 7 times, and it was a blowout in four of them. we won 2 by a field goal and one blowout. also in 9/10 games we were kicking, so something is wrong with how the game determines who kicks and receives as well. then there is the pipelines change where you can no longer develop pipelines you are just stuck with the pipelines of your school and your coaches. this makes it extremely tedious to recruit as a small school. because you can build your program and you can with 10 national championships in a row but georgia and alabama and the other schools with the best pipelines will always easily out compete you for the best recruits because of the significant pipeline advantage. its just annoying that you cant organically develop pipelines anymore like you used to be able to do. and then there is the annoying decision by EA to just take away options from the players. they gain nothing by this except creating avenues for additional future monetization but why do they even care if players can get enough ability points to buy every perk, i know in real life no coach is great at everything but its a video game. just let people play how they want to, its so annoying for gameplay to be limited in a variety of ways to suit your own vision when its as simple as adding a slider in the options. you don't have to overhaul the game, its just a blatant attempt by EA to get the players used to playing the game a certain way so that they can offer you the chance to spend money to play it how you want to. then there is the madden 27 and mvp bs where you can get some fairly good perks that are also cheap by spending more money on the game so thats just great. the worst part is, this is the best CFB game. and its still a buggy mess. i would say wait to get this game until it gets bug fixes, but it wont. they will not fix this game because they dont care. and im tired of the EA bad but developers good. no one play tested this game, there was 0 quality assurance. the devs of this game get paid to make slop end of story. so your choice is to either accept that there is no alternative and this is as good as it gets for football games and eat up, or to just abandon the genre. thats a decision for you to make. personally, im enjoying the game for the most part. but i cant recommend it unless you are just in love with CFB gameplay loop like i am.
This game is so frustrating for all the wrong reasons and it needs some serious updates to make it a recommendation. Most of my opinions are based solely on RTG, which remains a hobbled mess. THE GOOD: - Gameplay is quite good, with a significant amount of control for your player. - Immersion fits the college look, feel, and traditions are spot on. - When the game isn't actively trying to screw you over, it's actually fun and entertaining. THE BAD: - The logic in this game, especially in RTG, is literally BROKEN - Offensive linemen will watch as defenders sprint past them to sack your QB in less than 2 seconds. - Running backs will run backwards to catch a screen pass, making them useless plays. - In QB RTG, your player will overthrow, underthrow, or completely miss receivers seemingly at random. - Receivers will not come back to the ball, will not fight to catch through contact, and they will allow the defenders to knock the ball out of their hands 50% of the time. THE UGLY: - Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, remains animation-based (blocking, catching, running, tackling, interceptions, etc.) - With the animations-based catches, far too often your receivers will be vaulted into the air, even on short routes; leading to 1 in a million interceptions by the defense. - Offensive lines are TERRIBLE and will only work at random if you base align them before EVERY PLAY. - Defensive players still jump routes when they aren't looking at the QB, will defend passes even when out of position, and can come up with spectacular interceptions even when the pass is perfect. - In QB RTG, you can throw for 5,000 yards, 50 TD and 5 INTs and a CPU QB will still win because his TD:INT ratio is lower -- and this happened four years in a row on my RTG (Junior and Senior year, winning QB threw only 1 INT). In its current state, the game is hard to recommend, but an update to the AI (especially the O-line) would be a step in the right direction. I just don't understand how a developer continues to ignore certain aspects for years.
EA can piss off with the micro transactions. Greedy company, should have known better. Shame they already ruined CFB 3 years into its return
This Game is great, this is the first football game I've bought so take my review with a grain of salt but overall I really enjoy it, I've only done Road To Glory and some online. But I'm having a blast, yes there are some glitches and stuff which I hope will get updated, But the overall gameplay that I have done is so much fun. The game is little expensive but worth to me so far, I cannot get off of it I keep playing. I give a 8.5/10 TBH
