Reviews
I'm going to be brutally honest, I was never a fan of city builder. Even sandbox ones who do not have any resources and citizenship managment. Going on this game was solely decided on its "cozy aspect". I really wanted more games without goals and more focused on a meditative and contemplative atmosphere. Dystopika achieves this with an outstanding success , it's one of the best time sink I ever encounter in any video games. Each time I'm working on a city, landscape or even in the photo-mode, I can't help but gaze at my creations. The soundtrack is wonderfully crafted, it still bears the meditative feeling that the game is trying to replicate and for those who are sensible on progressive electronic / ambient music (like me). It helps a lot when you are focusing building or just moving your camera around. 8/10 experience, I'm feeling this is the type of game I'll keep playing even in a secondary monitor. It helped me so much on my attention span these recent days
