Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

I will recommend the game, really fun and i love games like this, but i think they should make dying light 1 things but even better, with more skills, things are a little bit missing. Games has to many rules and limited. Giving the main character lots of cool skills is really sick and lots of them. Also a big con: Never play multiplayer this game if you don't want to ruin your single player exploration survival experience, it has many bugs and bugs your save forever, and you can't do anything about it unless a reroll on a backup save that they allow you to do in case of bugs, losing many hours of playthrough (i lost 6 or 7 doing this and never played multiplayer again, everything was being shown on the map as if i explored them and more bugs like cars respawwning with no fuel etc) There are quite a few bugs on this.. and many of them are a game killing. And again, don't join multiplayer if you want to keep chilling a single player adventure solo. (My keyboard was literally stutering btw, had to swap to a older one, and USB verson. my character coouldn't move many times.) So yeah many very triggering bugs, and many of them are a game killer.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

If you loved Dying Light 2 for its fluid, high-flying verticality and the freedom to climb absolutely anything, prepare to be massive disappointed. I don't understand how within the first hour, the game throws back-to-back Chimera bosses at you with almost zero breathing room or time to scavenge. This led to having to beat the 2nd chimera with only my fists which was just such a slogg fest. The difficulty scaling is also just so brain dead, I had dropped the game to story because I wasn't going to fight a Chimera with only my fists on normal, but when you put it to story, the fists turn into rocket launchers and they do more damage than a weapon or a gun would on normal. The scaling is a joke and it just ruins my immersion. Guns are just randomly back? I Dont undetstand how you can just take a freature away from the 2nd game, and reintroduce them back into the game. It is what? 20 years after the appocolyplse has started and Kyle just happens to come across 2 guns in the first hour of gameplay? The parkour is also just a joke, Aiden felt like a lightweight parkour superhero, Crane feels like a mass monster who weighs 250 lean carrying a boat like david goggings. The map has literally nothing you can climb on, and it was the final straw before I quit the game, not being able to climb like I had in the 2nd game. The upside? The graphics stunning.
The Most Fun Dying Light Yet
In my opinion, The Beast is the strongest game in the series so far, although I mean that mostly in terms of gameplay and pure fun. The story, unfortunately, is much weaker and ends up being pretty average. My friend and I started playing it right after Dead Island 2, which we were already getting pretty tired of, and honestly, this felt like a gift from heaven. Suddenly we were having so much fun again. Dying Light has always been enjoyable, but this feels like the most polished and fast paced version of its formula yet. Everything simply flows incredibly well. It is noticeably shorter than the previous games and was originally supposed to be DLC for Dying Light 2, but honestly, I think it works surprisingly well as its own standalone game.
A Beautiful New Setting
The new location is absolutely gorgeous and easily one of my favorite parts of the game. I especially love the older buildings, castles, and more rural environments, which give the whole game a really distinct atmosphere and visual identity. The UI is also probably my favorite in the entire series. It looks clean, feels modern, and is easily the most readable and straightforward version they’ve made so far.
Kyle Crane Is Back... But the Story Struggles
Crane is still a great protagonist, and it’s genuinely nice having him back. The problem is that the story has him constantly talking about revenge while simultaneously running around doing random tasks for random people. It creates this weird disconnect where Crane is supposedly completely focused on getting revenge, yet apparently still has enough time to become everyone’s personal errand boy. A lot of it feels like it exists mainly to stretch the story out, and unfortunately, that makes the pacing suffer. There are definitely some stronger moments later on, especially the reveal of a certain thing that was probably obvious to most people since Dying Light 2, followed by the ending itself. Those were easily some of the strongest story moments for me.
Beast Mode Feels Just Right
The Beast Mode is a great addition. It never feels ridiculously overpowered, but it also doesn’t feel weak or pointless. For me, they found a really good balance. More importantly, it gives you that satisfying feeling of playing as the legendary Kyle Crane from the first game, except now he’s been completely juiced up by years of experiments. You feel powerful and dangerous without completely destroying the balance of the game, which is exactly how this mechanic should work.
Classic Dying Light Gameplay at Its Best
At its core, this is still classic Dying Light, and that formula simply works. The parkour remains the strongest part of the series and one of the main reasons Dying Light has such a unique identity among zombie games. Movement feels fast, smooth, and satisfying, and combining parkour with combat is just as fun as ever. Combat itself also feels polished and responsive, and especially in co-op, running around, dropkicking zombies, climbing across rooftops, and causing complete chaos rarely gets old.
Weapon Variety Could Be Better
One problem that becomes noticeable after a while is the lack of weapon variety. Eventually, it feels like you’ve already seen most of what the game has to offer and you start getting the same types of weapons over and over again. Because of that, the loot becomes much less exciting later in the game. Thankfully, the core gameplay is fun enough that it never completely killed my motivation. Even when the rewards started becoming repetitive, I still wanted to keep playing and at least finish the main story.
Final Thoughts
For Dying Light fans, The Beast is an absolute must-play. In terms of pure gameplay and fun, I honestly think this might be the best game in the series. It’s fast, polished, looks beautiful, has an excellent parkour system, a well-balanced Beast Mode, and is especially fun when played in co-op. For everyone else, it’s still a great zombie action game and an incredibly entertaining co-op experience. Just don’t go into it expecting an amazing story. it feels like an apology for dying light 2, and quite honestly: apology accepted.
