First half-hour gave me early 2000's flash game vibes, not the longest but for a newer game on the market its quite promising, Good progression and trade system, an upgrade for adding more slots to vehicles would be nice.
It's a good transporter game
Einfach Schade.
A small, atmospheric game about post-apocalyptic transportation with a distinct Mad Max vibe. I got more than I expected, but less than I hoped for. The gameplay is good, but it does become repetitive over time. While this would have slightly detracted from the core of the game, the game would have benefited greatly from universal access to a common storage area in all shelters, even if it would have reduced the completion time.
Dust Raiders is a post-apocalyptic strategy and management game developed by Vixa Games and published by Games Operators and PlayWay S.A. Drawing inspiration from classic wasteland fiction, the game places players in command of a roaming convoy struggling to survive in a brutal desert world where resources are scarce, settlements are isolated, and hostile raiders lurk along every route. Rather than focusing solely on combat, the game blends exploration, trading, resource management, vehicle customization, and tactical encounters into a surprisingly well-rounded experience that constantly challenges players to think ahead. The game's greatest strength lies in how effectively it captures the feeling of leading a fragile caravan through an unforgiving world. Every expedition feels important because supplies, fuel, crew members, and vehicle condition must all be monitored carefully. The wasteland is filled with opportunities, but taking advantage of them often requires accepting significant risks. Whether transporting valuable cargo between settlements, searching abandoned locations for resources, or confronting rival groups, players are constantly forced to weigh short-term gains against long-term survival. This creates a rewarding gameplay loop where even routine journeys carry a sense of tension. Vehicle management serves as the core of progression. Throughout the campaign, players acquire new vehicles, equipment, weapons, and upgrades that gradually transform a vulnerable convoy into a powerful mobile force. The customization options encourage experimentation, allowing players to build caravans focused on combat, trade efficiency, cargo capacity, or a balanced mixture of all three. The system succeeds because upgrades feel meaningful rather than cosmetic. Every improvement can significantly alter how the convoy performs during exploration and battle, giving players a strong sense of ownership over their growing fleet. Combat introduces another layer of strategy through encounters with raiders and other hostile forces. Battles combine real-time action with the ability to slow the pace and issue commands, creating a hybrid system that rewards planning without sacrificing momentum. During larger engagements, positioning vehicles correctly and prioritizing targets become critical to survival. The combat mechanics help break up the management-focused gameplay and provide exciting moments throughout the campaign. While battles remain enjoyable for much of the adventure, some players may eventually find them less challenging once they establish highly optimized convoy builds and gain access to stronger equipment. The game's economic systems are equally important. Settlements scattered across the map function as centers for trade, recruitment, repairs, and story progression. Buying low in one location and selling high in another creates profitable opportunities, but success depends on navigating dangerous roads and protecting valuable cargo. This trading element adds depth to the overall experience and makes the world feel interconnected. Resource scarcity ensures that every transaction matters, reinforcing the game's survival themes and preventing progression from becoming effortless. Narratively, Dust Raiders takes a straightforward approach that complements its gameplay. The central story provides motivation for exploration while introducing memorable factions, rival leaders, and local conflicts. The world itself often does much of the storytelling, with abandoned locations, random events, and side missions helping paint a picture of a society struggling to rebuild after catastrophe. Although the plot may not be the primary reason people play the game, it supplies enough context and atmosphere to keep the journey engaging from beginning to end. Visually, the game embraces a rugged and weathered art style that fits its setting perfectly. Rusted machinery, dusty roads, makeshift settlements, and heavily modified vehicles all contribute to the sense of a world shaped by survival. The environments may not be technically groundbreaking, but they effectively establish the bleak tone the developers are aiming for. Sound design further strengthens immersion, with mechanical noises, weapon effects, and ambient wasteland audio helping bring the setting to life. Not every aspect of Dust Raiders reaches the same level of polish. Certain systems occasionally feel underdeveloped compared to the game's strongest features, and some players may wish for additional variety in encounters or deeper late-game challenges. However, these issues rarely undermine the overall experience. The game's ability to merge management, exploration, trading, and combat into a cohesive package remains impressive, and the steady sense of progression helps maintain player interest over many hours. Ultimately, Dust Raiders succeeds by delivering a compelling vision of life in a harsh post-apocalyptic world. Its combination of convoy building, strategic resource management, economic decision-making, and tactical combat creates a distinctive experience that stands apart from more traditional strategy games. While it may not reinvent the genre, it consistently provides meaningful choices and satisfying progression, making it an easy recommendation for players who enjoy survival-focused management games and wasteland-themed adventures. Rating: 6/10
This game need some polishing. Random events making you loose crewmates (no way of knowing what are the percentages for succes or what your choices will do), losing your main car makes you loose fight immediatly so no build variety (main car is the best suited car to be a tank but you cant play like that because you will loose). Permament loss of items and crewmemebers after death and having to pay full price for all cars repairs even if only your main car died. It takes too much time to regain everything you lost after a defeat. Penalizing a player with having to waste twice or more as much time to restore your progress is not a fun idea. Core gameplay is very apealing however has many rough edges. Some upgrade oportunities for main car would be nice like more hp or armor. Some vehicles with more base weapon slots maybe? For more relaxed combat gameplay. Game has potential and would benefit greatly from some updates and new QoL features. If one or 2 more updates will come out bringing some of those concepts into life i will be happy to change my review into positive. For now needs work! :)
游戏挺好玩的,可以我目前只有一只手能操控,接了个任务出去消灭村子附近威胁的,刚开始战斗没多久就撞山上了...等手伤好了再玩吧。
Hello Im Skill Incarnate and Welcome to My Games Review Series. My reviews cover indie games that i have bought, had gifted to me and have been provided by developers for review. In this episode I check out an interesting new Post Apocalyptic Indie RPG called Dust Raiders. This game was developed by Vixa Games, who also worked on the Lovecraftian RPG Edge Of Sanity and was Published by my friends at Playway SA, who are one of the most prolific Simulation Game Publishers on Steam Dust Raiders takes place in a Post Apocalyptic World of the future, where mankind ekes out a living in the barren wastes. The game follows the leader of a convoy, who finds themselves ambushed by a warlord called Sawblade. With their convoy in ruins and their crew slaughtered its up to the player to rebuild a new fleet of vehicles, recruit a new crew of hardened survivors and set of search of revenge. In order to complete your mission you will need to navigate the deadly conditions of the wastes, travelling between settlements, establishing trade routes, building relationships with local factions by completing tasks for them and battling sawblades army of raiders. Your ultimate goal is of course to hunt down Sawblade and exact vengeance for you and your crew. Dust Raiders differs from many other Post Apocalyptic games by offering players freedom in how they want to make their mark on the wasteland. You can build up your convoy into a deadly army and become a mercenary by accepting contracts to hunt Sawblades Raiders, work as a courier, moving packages between each settlement for a hefty profit, or you can can decide to focus purely on trade, by buying and selling valuable commodities and catering to the needs of the Wastelanders, using the games easy to use trading system. While Dust Raiders is a little rough around the edges and does need a little polish, I still found myself enjoying the games campaign. Open World Post Apocalyptic games are somewhat rare on Steam, so if your a fan of these games then this game might be worth a look. Please note: All opinions in this video are my own.
