Look, i like online boardgames, but could you just put in at least some kind of tutorial so i know what the bleep i should be doing?
The game is highly strategic and brilliant; a masterpiece like Twilight Struggle. ... but as an European I'm already sick and tired up the ass from hearing or seeing pictures or messages of islamistic extremism e.g. in the ambience background sound clips or on the cards... If I have to see one more Schleiatauntn or Binibort or Muuslfreysn, and the only governmental acts that are done about them are fictional ones in a game, I'll become blind from rolling my eyes too hard. Sorry, it's a good game, but I can't play it without getting frustrated or depressed - not even when playing against those terrorists.

Abandonware. Buggy. Opaque. Confusing even knowing how to play the original
This is one of those cases where an OK rating would be great. The game itself is awesome, one of the best asymmetric two-player board games out there, and the graphical and audio implementation is good, more or less on par with Playdek's work on Twilight Struggle and Fort Sumter. The game feels incomplete, however, as it's missing two needed features. One, it badly needs an AI implementation for the Jihadist player like there is for the US player. There's only a scripted "bot" at this time, and it just doesn't live up to playing against an actual AI. The bot is disappointing because it's simultaneously stupid, but also cheats by ignoring certain game rules. The other thing missing are the board game expansions as DLC. Unlike Twilight Struggle, which is a complete experience of the historical Cold War out of the base game box, Labyrinth, by nature of covering a more recent period of history, has two much needed expansions: The Awakening, and The Forever War. These expansions include earth-shaking historical events pertaining to this topic like the Arab Spring and the civil wars that followed and the rise of ISIS. Not having these expansions is like playing a Twilight Struggle that ends in 1970. Given they're expansions to the base game, offering them as DLC would be totally reasonable, so I'm not asking for anything for free here. It's just very disappointing it's not offered, or even in development afaict. In conclusion, I wouldn't pay full price for Labyrinth, but it's definitely worth it on sale despite the missing features.
Nope. They need to fix a bug that has been around for a long time before I give this a positive review.
The game is extrembly buggy, a few cards just don't work and haven't for years. There is no support and no plans for DLC despite the boardgame having expansions. The game is currently unplayable if you hit certain card combos/actions that are common e.g. reassessment. 1/5.
Seems the dev literally forgot about this game entirely and would never implement the Awakening and Forever War expansion and for this, its not lit af
For over 2 decades the Labyrinth's older brother Twilight Struggle is the top selling game of the legendary boardgame developer GMT, and it's totally justified - play any of these two to see it for yourself. These two games are very similar, the main difference is the theme and some mechanics. I personally prefer Labyrinth as a theme, as a game, and as software (which is mature). The game itself is extraordinarily immersive, the tutorial is the best I have ever experienced, and the PBEM is PC-Android multiplatform. I am going to buy the physical version as well after playing this
