Very fun game reminds me of an early 2000s platformer mixed in with kingdom hearts. Combat can feel a little clunky at times but you will get used to it. I love the atmosphere most of all and music. Everything else was good too. This does not feel like an indie game but more like a game that was made by a very strong team and developers.
This game was such a breathe of fresh air. Great story, combat and gameplay. Its not perfect but has great potential for DLC or a second game. Has lots of good vibes from kingdom hearts, mario, zelda, and a lot of old school RPG games. I had a great time finding all the easter eggs.

Before getting into it the reviews are clearly inflated. 50% of people haven't even gotten 2/3 of the way through the first area based on achievements. Weigh that when you look at reviews. Story: serviceable and achieves what its going for. If you can't stand cheesy kingdom hearts dialogue and story you likely won't like this. Music: meets goal nothing ground breaking. Graphics: Great the game will easily sell people just based on looks. It looks like reimagined colorful versions of hollow bastion/traverse town. Performance: could be better getting solid 60fps is probably going to be finnicky on steam machine/deck. Gameplay: breaking this up Movement: movement, platforming, and general animations feel clunky or floaty frequently. There's a lot of emphasis on things looking good but it always feels a bit off. It likely makes for better promotional material or looks. Game design: I love metroidvanias KH and unlocking abilities but the game feels like you're going through the motions while showing you tons of things you could be doing with skills you don't have. Its common to drag out features in games now but It holds the game back. I want a base set of fluid actions that feel good and unlock things that enhance the experience. Here it feels like you've taken out the best features and spread them out over way too much gameplay. Combat: Not as good as devil may cry but not as clunky as KH1. Its good but my gripe with how slow things are to unlock comes back here. It takes almost halfway through the game to get a heavy attack. Combat is pretty easy but still fun and well designed overall. I like the game and maybe I'm being critical but if you're going to use the hype of the greats to sell your game at a premium you should measure up. TLDR: you may find it worth it but I can't generally recommend it at this price as a die hard fan of these kinds of games unless you really need a fix. Get it on sale.

Es un buen juego de aventuras y plataformas que recuerda juegos de la época de PS2, pero con mejores gráficos. El arte es precioso y el juego es divertido. Las plataformas me han gustado mucho. El único fallo es el combate que le falta un poco de finura y la cámara va un poco loca a veces durante estos. Por lo demás es un juegazo, con una duración correcta y una bonita historia.
Looks great, runs great, and plays great. So much love and care put into it. Just overall a fantastic game.
Jeu très sympathique mais je trouve que les capacités sont un peu longue à débloquer, ce qui rend les combats un peu lassant et frustrant. Je recommande la difficulté normal, car en difficile les boss sont long et fastidieux à combattre (surtout si vous mourrez et que vous devez refaire depuis le début) Les phrases de plateformes sont très cool et satisfaisantes !
This game is a love letter, a masterpiece, and a perfect example of a passionate community team creating what so many ask big game companies to do that are seldom heard. Duskfade feels nostalgic, the world is gorgeous, the music is great, and the game is just fun. the platforming is key here and I greatly appreciate hidden treasures in a dense map that is thoughtfully and creatively crafted. The inspiration is evident, and I love how the initial game appears cartoonish, but if you look, there is deep and intriging lore to consider. I ask that, unlike to inspiration that this game is inspired upon, please dont take a decade for the sequel. There are so many options for dlc and for future adventures, or even past ones. the combat is a bit clunky in my opinion, but has potential. This is the best Game I have played this year! Thanks Devs, creators, and artists, Your love letter is one that so many gamers have in our hearts.
