This is simply a terrible port of the bare bones arcade versions of the games. The store page and detail is misleading. You are NOT actually getting the games listed like it says. You get pieces of the games, or the "arcade"versions. I was so excited for Power Stone 2 but adventure mode is just gone. No item Shop. Nothing.
Not recommended, they took the shop/item creation out of Power stone 2.
So, I only bought this to play Capcom vs SNK 2. However, if you have a similar desire you should know that this version is missing *many* features the original had. Different was to play arcade mode, the ability to customize your own grooves, and, most disappointing, the ability to customize the color of your characters. (And, less important, the ability to save epic fights with friends and rewatch them later.) For anyone who played the Soul Calibur 1 remake on Xbox live, some years ago, it's kind of like that. They stripped out a *lot* of what made the game excellent and only kept the most basic fighting features. Can't recommend. Not without a HUGE price cut at least.
Censorship is bad. In-game animations and endings have been removed or censored. Artworks in gallery are censored. Bought this for Street Fighter Alpha 3... it's the best way to play it with all the characters that have ever existed, if you see it on sale or on a bundle it's worth it.
Thank you once again Capcom for bringing these games back for a new generation of gamers to experience. This is a incredible collection of 8 titles with Capcom Vs Snk 2, Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper and Powerstone 2 being being my three personal favorites. It brings back so many great Arcade and Dreamcast memories everything feels perfect and i had no technical problems at all, the controls, music and graphics are just as i remember them. I picked this collection up twice, once here on Steam and the other on the Nintendo Switch and I have no regrets they are both awesome, truly worthy of their history and should be in all fighting fans collections. Tons of options at your disposal allow gamers of any level to enjoy these games from beginning to end. Whether you are a newcomer or a pro there is so much here to take in, you will not be disappointed. I give this collection the Highest possible recommendation. All we need now is a collection with Tatsunoko vs Capcom....pretty please Capcom :)
alpha 3 max may be the best street fighter game ever made but the world isn't ready for that and will tell you to play 3s instead
Thanks Capcom for bringing back both the CVS and Power Stone games via this amazing collection! Capcom Fighting Collection 2 is almost a perfect collection that includes all those great classic 2D and 3D Capcom Arcade Fighting games off all time. This collection is a love letter to the OG fighting game fans. Now listen Capcom, please give us Capcom Fighting Collection 3 with all those great fighting games missing in both the 1st and 2nd Capcom Fighting Collection like Street Fighter EX Trilogy, Rival Schools, Plasma Sword Episode 1 (still have no idea why they only included the sequel here, but still...), Capcom Fighting All-Stars, Sengoku Basara X, Onimusha: Blade Warriors, Super Dragon Ball Z, Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold, Tech Romancer, Fate/Unlimited Codes and MOST IMPORTANTLY, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom - which is still Nintendo Wii Exclusive to this date! In the end, I am very much satisfied with the collection! :)
I hate to say I don't recommend this game unless you really don't want to just fire up the PS2. I bought it for online play and the servers are dead. It's only a year old. So, while it's cool that you get an arcade version of a game with controller mapping on top, it's still not worth the six gallons of gas in this economy when online is absolutely dead.
My god they ruined all the sprite in the game and the filters are absolute garbage. The detail is like smeared trash no matter what the resolution is. This is not a problem on consoles like switch and xbox series x that look just fine. Don't buy this game if you plan on playing any of the capcom vs snk or street fighter alpha 3 upper. Its a shame because except for the psp their no other version of this alpha 3 nearest version is the dreamcast and its missing about 5 characters. GOD DID THEY MESS THIS UP!!!!
