I think this game is fine. I think that the praise it's getting while not unfounded is also being given in droves despite some pretty big issues. Performance is fine, playing in 4k on a 7900GRE and a 5700X3D has been stable and the game looks nice. Art direction is above par for a game of this scope. Music is good, while the songs themselves were nice and well composed, they did not always feel fitting of the situation/area. Combat is where I have less positive things. The game has a pretty simple combat system that is very easily understood but tops out on personal expression very very quickly. A handful of enemies are basically dropped into a 10 foot space at random with no thought into placement, and there is no problem solving that goes into it or any interesting facets to it. Combat is perfectly fine but I would hesitate to say it's good. So many comparisons have been thrown to Kingdom Hearts, Jak and Daxter, Sly Cooper, and Ratchet and Clank. All are phenomenal games with so much style and personal identity. Aesthetically this game has it's own identity but in about every other aspect it feels derivative. It's not a bad thing, but I expected there to be more expression in the combat like KH. All in all, while I didn't enjoy the game I don't think it's bad and I don't want anyone thinking that. I think the dev should be proud of what they've made here and maybe after some updates I will be happy to return to it.
This game does a really good job of capturing the feel and charm of the games it seeks to emulate (Kingdom Hearts and Jack & Daxter). The visuals are great, the platforming and movement feel good, if a little floaty. The combat and menu systems are probably the weakest points of the game, not that they are particularly bad. I just wish they were more menu features, such as a beastiary or way to track collectibles outside of the waypoint system. Enemy movements attacks and animations seem a little bit stiff. Most attacks won't stagger enemies, and some attacks feel like they have fewer animation frames than they ought to. Other than that, it's a great game, especially for the price. I really hope we get either a sequel or another similar game from them in the future. Great first go at 3D action platforming though.
Jogo com um gráfico lindo, estilo de combate maneiro, e o mapa é bem diverso para explorar. Jogo bem divertido
This game is brimming with charm, production values, rewarding exploration and fun platforming. It’s a beautifully realized world, great graphics and a must buy for fans of action adventure games. I do wish it had a map but otherwise it’s a great buy.
This was an amazingly fun game and the first one in quite a while that i got 100% completion on. I definitely recommend buying and playing this if you were a ps2 era gamer or if you just enjoy games that are similar to that. Some of my take-aways: - Cute story - Beautiful scenery - fluid and fast-paced combat - Reasons to explore the world beyond the main storyline - Level design is amazingly done. - Cosmetic rewards not locked behind a DLC or paywall. - about 20h to 100% the game. Some things i wish we had to make navigating the world a bit easier: - Fast travel to the beginning of the levels rather than the middle - Collectibles like broken glass shards being able to be tracked - An On-screen way to track progress of clearing a level Overall, this game to me is a 9/10 and i will never forget the experience i was given with this title :)
El indie que más he disfrutado. Un gran plataforma. Tienes unas mecánicas que dan un gustazo jugarlo. Además que llevas una llave espada que no es una llave espada si no que es un minutero. Guapísimo. Cien por cien recomendado.
