Duriano

This is genuinely my first top-down rogue-type game. This kind of experience is far more enjoyable on a handheld like the Steam Deck, it's a better fit for short-break experiences rather than long-hour sessions on my desktop. --- Pros - The gameplay loop gets a lot better when you start to understand the builds. - Visually, the enemies and playable characters look decent, and some enemies look cuter than they have a reason to be. - has decent build options to try on different runs, like infinite healing, tank, turbo speed, etc. - nice effects for spells, skills, and weapons. - Too many items. I would rather have fewer items that look more memorable in artwork and stats, rather than too many with similar stats. --- Cons - Maybe it's normal for this genre to lack a tutorial to explain how things work, which made my early gameplay not fun and too hard. This lasted until I realized the coins weren't collected automatically after finishing an encounter, and the effect lied to me, making it seem like they were auto-collected like chests. - The levels lack variety. - The damn exploding rock/barrel is worthless because the game is auto-attack, and the player makes it explode before it can do anything. - Add environmental attacks to the existing level design (not the damn exploding rock/barrel). Add something that the player can activate to help. For example, the spikes should kill enemies too, or in the existing asteroid field, there could be a big version that could kill enemies too. Basically, something or a random event that could shift the gameplay situation. - The UI doesn't scale well on small screens like the Steam Deck - Control support is lacking. Gameplay works normally because there are only move and dodge, but the shop, road map, and character select screens don't work properly. It could use a joystick cursor to replace the mouse.

Duriano is a quirky, fun game. Its unique concept, engaging gameplay, and charming aesthetics make it a must-try for fans of action-packed roguelites. Whether you're a seasoned player or new to the generation.

Had so much fun playing that, I totally forgot about the time.

Surprisingly addictive! I was a bit lost at first since I don’t usually play this genre, but once I got the hang of it, I had a blast. Still, a few moments definitely made my blood boil—haha. Looking forward to the full release. Solid 8/10.

This game is un-peel-ievably fun! Slashy, dashy, and downright addicting!

Yoo Bro!!!! May I give u a reward Duriano, u make me forget eat just for playing u. At that first I thought it just piece of cake save as other but broo! you're not the save, very unique and challenging good FX. Guys!!! I highly Recommend this Game.
