Dark Legion VR

Price seems good for what you get and much better than a lot of other VR games at similar price. If you're after a VR single player FPS game with an immersive story than buy this one.

The game is not total crap, but I would not buy for more than 5 bucks. The graphics look kind of unfinished, some nice looking objects but terrible terrain textures. Same for stability, it runs smooth but crash on every level load. The devs abandon it, same should the customer do. Just look for alternatives. P.S. Fun Fact, without any noteable development since ages, this game still shows 'early version'. Steam should force a status abandoned or finished if there is no dev showing up once every 3 month.

I would love to play the game, but I cannot. It loads, but it wont't allow me to grab any weapons from my belt or open the backpack. I checked the forums and there are a lot of people with the same issue, but no fix in site.

I really wanted to get into this game because the world is pretty cool and the graphics are great in my opinion..however the only well designed weapons are the bow and pistol, weapon sound effects are good for the most part The utility belt sucks although forgivable, voice acting is not good and dialog needs serious work THE ROBOT LITTERALLY RUINED THE EXPERIENCE, ITS SO ANNOYING npc sounds and directional sound dynamics need serious polishing tnt is seriously bugged for my client and the game crashes a lot I do really wanna see this game improve though. I honestly think it has a lot of pottentiall but for now i dont think ill reccomend it *oculus user

I can’t recommend this game as it stands. The reason being is that although this is a fun, ‘arcadey’, 1st person shooter with satisfying gameplay and nice visuals, I encountered a game breaking bug that caused me to have to restart my game every time I completed a level... Furthermore, after defeating the final boss, the game crashed and corrupted my game save preventing me from seeing the ending of the game. I felt robbed of my hard fought victory and it just left a bad taste in my mouth. It’s a real shame because Dark Legion actually has the potential to be a hidden gem. The gameplay is fun and takes advantage of VR requiring you to load your guns and inject yourself with drugs to restore your health. The bow feels great and you even have magic. It just stumbles at critical moments where it matters most.

Hier kommen mal wieder Hass und Liebe zusammen. (getestet mit der HTC Vive) Dark Legion ist auf den ersten Blick ein Shooter der vieles richtig macht. Die Grafik sieht gut aus, das Waffenhandling kann überzeugen, es gibt viele verschiedene Gegnerarten, Loot, Waffen, Heilung, Munition... Nach einem etwas nervigen Tutorial starten wir auch schon auf dem Planeten. Das Wechseln der Waffen erfolgt über einen einfache Druck auf das rechte Touchpad, für Magazine und Pfeile greifen wir auf unseren Rücken. Maschinengewehre muss man zusätzlich noch durchladen. Es gibt auch Haftbomben und Handgranaten. Außerdem können wir noch magische Feuerbälle verschießen, indem wir die Menütaste drücken. Zum Heilen jagen wir uns eine Spritze in den Arm, fand ich persönlich eine nette Variante. Um Kisten zu looten bedienen wir uns einer Art Cursor in Form einer kleinen Hand, richtige Interaktion ist nicht möglich. Zur Fortbewegung können wir zwischen Teleport und freier Bewegung wählen, funzt auch soweit ganz gut. Durch einen Druck auf die linke Griptaste rufen wir die Karte auf. Während wir uns durch die frei begehbare Map bewegen begleitet uns ein kleiner fliegender Roboter, der uns zu Kisten führt und uns dem Ausgang näher bringt. In manchen Abschnitten benötigen wir spezielle Items, um ein Tor zu öffen und weiter zu kommen. Bis dahin macht das Spiel auf jeden Fall einen guten Eindruck. Es gibt aber auch einige Kritikpunkte. Neben der nervigen Tante im Tutorial (hurry up) fand ich einige Bugs extrem anstrengend. 1x war ein Gegner unsichtbar und zerlegte mich, ein anderes Mal bin ich durch die Welt gefallen. Es gibt Hinweise auf Datentablets, die falsch herum angezeigt werden, wenn man sie mit der rechten Hand einsammelt. Manche Speicherpunkte sind nicht ideal gesetzt. Die KI der Gegner läßt teils sehr zu wünschen übrig. Zusätzlich konnte man lange Zeit das Tutorial nicht abschließen und überhaupt spielen, das ist aber mittlerweile behoben. Wer das Spiel jetzt kauft, bekommt eine Early-Access-Version, und das sollte auch jedem klar sein. Es ist auf jeden Fall kein schlechtes Spiel, es braucht nur noch etwas Feinschliff. Leute, die nicht gleich bei einem kleinen Bug oder beim ersten Glitch die Schnauze voll haben erwartet zu Mindest ein hübscher Shooter mit guten Ansätzen. NOT WMR Compatible: Stay away from this title unless you just enjoy throwing away money. I bought this as it was suppose to be WMR compatible; however, the movement is horrendous, it looses tracking as if it is expecting input from a rear lighthouse (I said WMR right?), the Devs haven't answered any issues since September of 2017. Save your money and avoid this buy.

I have to give Dark Legion the downvote for multiple reasons: 1. The companion lady is obnoxious and gives me a headache. 2. The tutorial room is bugged and I cannot escape it no matter what. 3. Did I mention the tutorial room is bugged? Yeah, it's bugged. 4. The tutorial room is bugged. 5. The tutorial room is bugged. See? That's what the game's like. It's just a lady yelling the same things at you for half an hour while you figure out why you can't leave the area and then discover that the whole tutorial is a mess. That said, the game shows potential: 1. Hilariously dressed sidekick (the lady). I mean, oh man, is she... yeah. 2. Magic fireballs everywhereARGHHH! [game crashed] Dammit.

This game could be pretty good but the lack of communication from the developers and very long time between fixes really holds it back unfortunately.

Unfortunately, it has a lot of issues so I can only give a tepid recommendation. This is a light action arcade sci-fi FPS that's B horror movie quality. It's teleportation by default, but you can add in full locomotion and snap turning in the options. It does have this vignette when you turn that you can't turn off. You also have magnet hands to pick up items. Whole game took me 2.5 hours to complete. It's definitely a casual shooter. There's nothing too difficult about it. You have various different weapons and they are all pretty satisfying to use. There's also quite the variety in enemies, but unfortunately, the enemy AI is not the best. There's also boss fights. I believe there are 3 total boss fights. Again, they aren't that difficult. The bow is sometimes needed to bring down their defenses. The biggest issue with this game is that it crashes each time you complete a level. It's more annoying than anything else. You have to restart the game and then you'll start where you left off. I also experienced a severe bug where one of the enemies goes invisible and invincible and kills you. Luckily, upon quitting the game and then restarting it, the issue was fixed (however, just restarting the level does not). [b]Rate 6/10. I had fun, but this game is definitely not for everyone.
