Dunk Lords

Love this game, great party game with friends. Small learning curve but once you've played a game or two it's a breeze. Super fun, definitely feeling the NBA Jam throwback vibes. Also, definitely destroyed one of the devs at his own game. 5 out 5.

Game is not fun at all... All the colors and control feeling is making the game so complicated. It looks like a arcade game but it doesnt feel like it. Really didn't like it. If it is going to be free to play go give it a try but otherwise dont buy it.

Easy to pick up, tough to put down. Crisp controls, fun power-ups, and straightforward playmodes. Story mode is light and fun... Gauntlet hurts. Definitely good value for the price, would buy again and will keep hoopin'.

First are the positives: I love the soundtrack to this game. Immediately you are launched into a wonderful bouncy title screen, and the art is equally beautiful. The aesthetic to the game is fantastic and perfect for the type of game it wants to be. That said.... It's way too busy on such a small court. You're immediately inundated with a wide moveset (which is great! but) you have such a small court to maneuver it around on, and events on the court happen so fast that you need to be intimately familiar with the game before you can even think of utilising moves like faking a shot. You're expected to uppercut an opponent when they're about to dunk, but it happens in half a second, and when everyone is crowding in the same spot it's impossible to tell what is even happening, let alone know what move to use. I really want to like this game, because it's solid mechanically, but the way it delivers all these mechanics needs work. It's a soft no, but if it's on sale and you want to grind a hundred hours into becoming a Dunk LORD, go for it.

fun game, NBA JAM vibes

Neat little game. Not as good as NBA Jam though. My only issue with it is that there is so much ♥♥♥♥ on screen that it's hard to keep track of what's going on. It's a mess. I kind of wish there was a way to turn off the background animations and/or a lot of the graphical effects so you can see and focus on the players. Regardless of that, I'd still recommend.
