Dungeons of Dreadrock 2 - The Dead King's Secret

A solid sequel to a great puzzle game. You play as the mage character you met briefly during Dreadrock 1. The game tries to wave your new adventure concurrently during the first game, retcon the plot a bit. It kind of works, but it's nowhere near as good - forced attempts at taking another bite at the apple rarely are. Puzzles are fine, about on par with the first part. About 50% are new concepts, tools and enemies. I've had an issue where keyboard controls didn't work on Proton, so I had to play on gamepad. Otherwise, technically, the game is excellent. This is fundamentally kind of like a DLC for Dreadrock 1. If you liked the 1, you'll enjoy the 2.

Despite a bit of blood, it's a kids' game, not a typical mainstream one. I normally don't play games like this on PC, but I came across the first part in the Play Store by accident and played it on my phone. I ended up liking it. Then I found out there's a second part, so I bought a bundle with both games on Steam during a sale and played the second one on PC. If the trailer or description doesn't impress you, I recommend doing what I did: try the first part for free on mobile. I liked the second part too, it even seems to have more content. However, the game's ending feels unfinished, like it's missing something. Because of this, I was disappointed when I finished the game, and I didn't quite understand or believe that this was how it ended... I think this could have been avoided by adding a several short scenes showing what happened next... But they're not there. [spoiler]Also the main character's motivation doesn't really make sense in the true ending.[/spoiler] That's why I like the first part more, even though the second part is still a good addition in its current form

1ая часть продала мне 2ую! Жаль, что приходится прибегать к подсказкам, желание быстро пройти и долго не задерживаться. А в остальном все шикарно, музыка, звуки, сюжет, анимации, озвучка Напоминает решение головоломок в Crosscode, когда горишь, но решаешь, а в конце игры, думаешь замечательная была игра

Достойное продолжение.
