This game has potential but the game is so annoying. Everything is so expensive, even the revive. Sealing Books are also expensive and you have to lower their HP for around 10% and less for it to success. What's more there is "SCAN" and that scan only displays Levels, Enemy Name, and buff/debuffs, It doesn't display HP! so you have to memorize how much damage you dealt, and some monsters even have regen HP. In short you're doing Math: substracting and adding just so you can seal a freaking enemies! Why do I need to seal monster you ask? so I can freaking sell it so I can buy another sealing books and repeat the process. This is the worst grind ever when it comes to Money/Gold. Why everything needs to be so expensive in the shop. like 150 gold and above. then monster drops only 10 gold and 0 gold most of the time. I will still finish this game because I'm just early in the game and this situation might change later on but man how annoying this game can be. At least give NPC that can give Side Quest and give rewards like collecting 5 slims to get 200 gold or something.
EDIT:I hate to do this to my no.1 favourite game but for unknown reason(s) i can't play this game anymore it only runs on the background on task manager while only consuming 5 mb of RAM. Hope the publishers, developers or anyone can help me with this. A great game, makes me want to try other dungeon crawler games. The battles are engaging, theres not a single time where i can turn off my brain or mobs would end my party. Great BGM that fits the atmosphere that doesnt annoy you or make you tired of hearing when farming and exploring for hours. The thing is, i can't recommend this game to those who doesnt know To Heart 2 Solid dungeon crawler It doesnt spoil the main game major events But, It basically takes place if not every. most events(except most of the endings, probably tamaki and konomi still happened probably) that happened in the main game including another days routes(this include Tamaki and Konomi route too) and the anime including the OVAs as well(because Sasara is still the student council president) My headcannon is this takes place after the anime OVAs but included the game events as well I wish Mio from the PS3 release of To Heart 2 would be here too but this game is just an upscaled version with remastered audio of the PSP version i guess P.S. i never played the original Despire being a remaster, this game lacks autosave, so always remember to save!(you can do this during dungeon exploring too) and when buying items you cant see how many items do you have on your own inventory but you can check it when you go to sell menu. Also i like that you can reset levels to levels when they change class(level 15 and 30) so you can reset your skill points, just dont be like me that didnt realize that you can just reset your character to level 30 at 30 above so you spend hours regrind till level 30
too grindy
Dungeon Travelers: To Heart 2 in Another World is a fantasy dungeon crawler developed by AQUAPLUS and published by DMM GAMES and Shiravune that combines classic first-person RPG exploration with visual novel storytelling and anime-inspired humor. While the game initially appears to be a lighthearted spin-off filled with colorful characters and fanservice-heavy comedy, it quickly proves itself to be a surprisingly challenging and mechanically deep dungeon-crawling experience. Beneath its playful presentation lies a demanding RPG that rewards strategic planning, careful resource management, and extensive party customization. The story follows a group of familiar characters from the To Heart 2 universe who suddenly find themselves transported into a fantasy world after a magical accident. What begins as a strange mishap quickly turns into a full-scale adventure through dangerous labyrinths, monster-filled ruins, and mysterious dimensions. The narrative itself is intentionally simple and focuses more on entertaining character interactions than on delivering a dramatic epic. Much of the game’s charm comes from the chemistry between the cast members, whose comedic conversations and exaggerated personalities keep the atmosphere consistently light even during difficult gameplay sections. Although the plot mainly serves as a backdrop for exploration, the game excels once players begin venturing deeper into its labyrinths. Exploration takes place through a first-person perspective reminiscent of classic dungeon crawlers from earlier generations. Players navigate twisting corridors, hidden passages, traps, and dangerous enemy encounters while gradually uncovering stronger equipment and new areas. The dungeon design steadily increases in complexity, forcing players to think carefully about movement, party setup, and resource conservation. Longer expeditions become tense because every battle drains valuable health and magic resources, making survival feel genuinely rewarding. Combat is one of the strongest aspects of the experience. Battles use a traditional turn-based system that initially seems straightforward but grows increasingly tactical as enemy encounters become more dangerous. Players can recruit a large variety of characters and assign them to different classes, each specializing in unique combat roles such as melee offense, magical support, healing, or defense. As the game progresses, advanced job classes become available, greatly expanding strategic possibilities and allowing players to experiment with highly specialized party builds. Managing class synergy and skill combinations becomes essential during tougher boss encounters, particularly in later dungeons where difficulty spikes become much more noticeable. The progression system adds significant depth to the gameplay loop. Characters can evolve into stronger classes over time, unlocking new abilities and powerful passive skills that dramatically alter combat strategies. Equipment also plays an important role, with rare loot and hidden treasures constantly encouraging further exploration. Finding stronger weapons and armor creates a satisfying sense of progression, especially because the game rarely hands victories to the player easily. Dungeon Travelers expects players to engage fully with its mechanics rather than relying on simple grinding alone. The game’s visual style fully embraces anime aesthetics and fantasy fanservice. Character artwork is colorful and expressive, while the enemy designs range from traditional fantasy monsters to intentionally bizarre and comedic creations. The presentation clearly caters to fans of Japanese visual novels and anime culture, featuring playful humor, exaggerated costumes, and numerous comedic scenarios throughout the story. While some players may find the fanservice excessive, others will appreciate how confidently the game commits to its identity without trying to dilute its niche appeal. Music and sound design contribute strongly to the atmosphere as well. Dungeon themes create a steady sense of tension during exploration, while battle tracks add energy to combat encounters. The voice acting helps bring personality to the cast and enhances many of the comedic scenes that define the story’s tone. Combined with the fantasy environments and lively character interactions, the presentation gives the adventure a distinctive charm despite the relatively simple narrative structure. One of the most impressive qualities of Dungeon Travelers is how rewarding it feels for players who enjoy mastering complicated systems. Party composition, class advancement, equipment management, and dungeon navigation all work together to create a surprisingly satisfying gameplay loop. There is a constant sense of improvement as players strengthen their team and gradually overcome increasingly dangerous labyrinths. The game successfully captures the addictive progression systems that define many classic dungeon crawlers. However, the game’s niche appeal also creates some unavoidable limitations. The heavy emphasis on anime fanservice and comedic tropes may immediately alienate players looking for a more grounded or serious fantasy RPG. The story rarely reaches significant emotional depth, focusing instead on humor and character banter. Grinding can occasionally become repetitive, especially during later portions where stronger enemies require careful leveling and optimization. Some dungeon sections also become extremely punishing, which may frustrate newcomers unfamiliar with old-school dungeon crawler design. Despite these flaws, Dungeon Travelers: To Heart 2 in Another World succeeds because of its strong gameplay foundation and commitment to its unique style. It combines challenging exploration, satisfying progression systems, and strategic combat into a package that feels surprisingly robust beneath its lighthearted exterior. The game may not appeal to every RPG player, but fans of classic dungeon crawlers and anime-inspired fantasy adventures will likely find a great deal to enjoy within its lengthy campaign. Dungeon Travelers ultimately stands out as a rewarding and unexpectedly deep RPG that balances humor, fanservice, and challenging gameplay more effectively than many similar titles. While its presentation and niche themes may limit its broader appeal, the quality of its dungeon exploration and tactical systems make it a memorable experience for players willing to embrace its style. For fans of old-school first-person RPGs with extensive customization and challenging dungeon design, it delivers a satisfying adventure filled with charm, strategy, and long-term progression. Rating: 8/10
A very nice DRPG with a slant towards PG hentai, no actual nudity, but shredded clothes and implied nudity. Overall very well done, nicely balanced and so far no extra grind to progress. So far all monsters are girls or anthropomorphic fruits and vegetables.
Two crashes in 30 minutes of gameplay, plus some stutters. Unplayable
