Tags: Tactical - Fantasy Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Cell shaded mobile-grade Unity Engine party dungeon crawler. Generic characters. Poor quality control. VIsual glitches. Atrocious writing. Slow boring gameplay. Poor itemization. You control you little 3D party through rooms, being interrupted with the odd poorly executed cinematic style cutscene in which characters make low quality banter, getting burped at by slimes, and slimes going through their character model. Intro has the most slapped on, pointless exposition with characters poofing into existence and saying they were summoned for gold. Gave me the distinct feeling that this was meant as a serious title to begin with, but then realizing the low quality, the writing was made wanna-be 4th wall breaking to hint at a joke so as to give whomever made this an excuse and an out not to have to own up to their incompetence and hide behind the alibi of parody. The turn based action is very slow to execute, boring, the damage balance and challenge did not seem playtested with my party steamrolling through rooms just by putting the tank upfront with the healer on him and the ranged damage guy to assist. You get to click on gold to grind gear for higher damage in a linear progression kind of way. Probably can get additional dungeons to use that grinded gear on, with what I can safely presume, features a tad more silly writing and heavy asset recycling due to low budget and effort. Conclusion: To think that The Banner Saga was made on a similar engine in a similar genre makes you really wonder. In any case the existence of half decent games redeems the engine to a certain extent but THIS title was a mistake. Avoid it. I will be removing local content permanently and hiding from library for declutter to give better visibility to more deserving entries in my collection.

Decent turn-based game. A little buggy at times, but easy to hop in and out of.
