You have been chosen by the Bene Gesserit to go to Arrakis as their agent and uncover the mystery of the missing Fremen. Visit locations such as Arrakeen and Hagga Basin and meet familiar characters such as Duke Leto Atreides and Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, as you unravel an epic Dune story never told before: yours.

You choose which path to take as you rise from survival to greatness.
Avoid the roaming sandworms. Seek shadows to stay out of the scorching sun. Study the slow blade or learn to master the powers of the Mentat and Bene Gesserit. Build a modest home or a massive base and decorate it to reflect your character’s unique personality. Climb mountains or craft your ornithopter and take to the skies.
Dune: Awakening gives you a living, breathing Dune on a scale never seen before.
Discover a dynamic and immersive Arrakis, from the rolling sand dunes of the Deep Desert to hidden Fremen caves and the bustling city streets of Arrakeen. Climb towering mountains with the Shigawire hook and fly across sandworm-infested deserts in an ornithopter you built yourself. Escape the destructive might of the massive sandstorms towering above you as they sweep across the landscape, then take a quiet moment to witness the beauty of Arrakis when the sun is low.
In Dune: Awakening, you get to step into the books and movies and experience one of science fiction’s most incredible worlds up close. Join the Atreides or the Harkonnen and rise through their ranks as you explore their unique stories. Meet familiar characters such as Duke Leto and Feyd-Rautha, investigate the mysterious disappearance of the Fremen, and discover the truth about your own past. Unravel an epic, cinematic Dune story that asks the mind-bending question: what if Paul Atreides was never born?
Arrakis is a test that few survive. Those who do, awaken. Learn to survive the unique climate of Arrakis, chasing shade and extracting liquid from the bodies of your enemies to refine it into water. Study the teachings of the Schools of the Imperium to unlock a powerful repertoire of abilities, weapons, and tools. Wield the Trooper’s unparalleled firepower, use the Bene Gesserit voice to control your enemies, deploy the Mentat’s deceptive traps, or master the Swordmaster’s unique dance of death.
Carve out your own piece of Arrakis and build your personal base of operations. From small outposts to elaborate and towering strongholds, build everything piece-by-piece in the Atreides or Harkonnen style, or any of the other available architectural styles, and decorate it to reflect your personality. Equip it with powerful crafting machines and spice refineries and watch your power and fortune grow. Craft anything from useful desert-survival gadgets to entire vehicles such as ground cars and ornithopters.
Play alone in full single-player, multiplayer with friends on a self-hosted or rented private server, or with hundreds of other players on a public server. The full game, with all its features, content, and story, is available regardless of which mode you choose. Both single-player and private multiplayer offer extensive gameplay customization options, allowing you to scale difficulty and tune gameplay options however you like.

Game has a number of hardware issues, it absolutely hates multi-monitors (at least on an AMD card) with it bouncing from resolution to resolution and window size randomly.
sad could be a great game but the devs need to remove being able to easily lose everything, taxes are fine but just take away currency not everything you own, also before doing any dungeon raid or anything like it, you should be able to save leave game and start back where you left off, enough with this grind grind grind lose everything for taking a break and i know they did updates since i last played but i put 32hrs in and then literally lost everything and put this beautiful looking immersive pile of garbage in the trash forever, i work to fking much to play 24/7 and come back days later just to have lost everything and they wont help get your ♥♥♥♥ back even after all the updates, love dune and wnated to love this game and in many ways i could but i will never with the bs systems they still have in place and people wanted to talk sht on star wars outlaws pretty much just because it was made by ubisoft

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I like this game. I am not rushing it, just been kinda farming stuff, making my base. I am looking forward to single or PVE only servers. I'm not at end game yet so I am not sure how that works, i've read it's all PVP which is not really my thing. I think this game could go far if they focus on Dune lore and make a really good PVE (PVP Optional) game.
This game is awesome. I cant say how much i like this game. The only thing I wish that they would add is OFFLINE, Please OFFLINE, I will do anything. Runs pretty good on Steam Deck too with the right settings.
Getting up to level 200 was a bit of a grind but the story was enjoyable inclusive of the DLC's. Then came the specialties which you just got on with, but it was like the devs didnt think we had lives outside of Dune. Then they merged servers because of the lack of players which now meant no spice for any new incoming players because so many people were farming to bribe representatives as well as repair or build things. Then Funcom pushed out the Water Wars DlC because the game was porting to PlayStation and Xboxin September. The main problem is still the constant RNG, RNG, RNG for blueprints and mainly specific augments to get the perfect item build and even then, once you finally find one, you the get a random roll which normally nerfs any real benefit really killed it for me. Why Funcom dont look at games like Diablo and Parh of Exile etc, etc to see how they resolved this issue is beyond me. But the final nail in the coffin is the disappearing cargo containers, the amout of gear ive lost is more that some players own. I know its not the Artistic Directors fault some of these issues are arising, its down to the investors and their decisions, but they need to start listening to him because they are not going to have a game worth playing at this rate. I mean compare Dune to 7 Days to Die, currently there are 32,433 in 7DTD and there are 6,700 players in Dune Awakening but 7DTD is a 12 year old game. Personally Dune Awakening is uninstalled, maybe I'll come back in 7 or 8 years time if its still going, and bugloss.
Gutting PVP from this game was the dumbest thing Funcom could have done to it. Instead of solving a somewhat complex problem they took the easiest route possible. Now its just PVE slop and that PVE slop isn't even getting iterated upon or better or harder or anything. So why bother playing?
performance is horrible & all of the servers are dead
I'm not sure about anyone else but when you start walking in the game you don't feel part of the realistic enviroment, it's almost like you're not even physically weighted on the grounded until you damage yourself off a 100 foot cliff and use one bandage and sip a plant... and then a storm comes but it passes... and what is with the servers... what is that? why is that a thing? ~.~ I'm thoroughly disapointed considering this is a huge movie with massive wealthy actors in it. Especially with such a long running title as Dune. This is meant to be coming to Xbox? Really?
Is good yaah
Surprisingly dull and unexciting. This game is so deep into the survival game loop it kind of forgets it's a Dune game. In fact, so much of the game is awkwardly gameified and multiplayer-game-based, it sacrifices any kind of immersion the Dune setting would normally have to make sure you're really grinding that barebone content. Stop me if you've never seen this loop before: You start on the easy part of the map, you craft basic items, then you need a new resource, so you need to move base (no fast travel) along the game-specific progression of zones until you run out of content to upgrade. For some reason, key resources only spawn in "harder" sectors of the map, so that means as the game progresses the map get smaller, not bigger, as you have less and less need to stay in the starting zones as they provide nothing of value anymore. Then your character progression is tied to class-based trainers that are on places around the map, somehow lit up by a magic lamp, and you need to do barebones quests for them (Go to X place, find Y or Kill Z, come back), and you need to do those questlines for EVERY jobs to get access to the full skill tree. And that skill tree (at least for trooper) is almost half 5% incremental upgrades, which is less than the 20%+ upgrades you will get from the next tier of weapon/equipment, so your gear matters 80% more than any skills you have set up. Pair with that that the game has no information on how the scaling of abilities work, or if there are any scaling or they're all flat damage... I just don't get it. The map and setting is really cool, but... again, it's unquestionably sabotaged by how the game is made, where you have no motive to go back to starter areas unless a really barebone quests sends you there. By the point of mid-game, you just drive vehicles around to every island, do all the quest markers, collect all materials, and then go back to base. Rinse repeat. Most cutscenes completely fail to make you feel important, your character basically having no character trait beyond being the new chosen one. The AI and combat is just hot garbage, not gonna lie. Most enemies are just HP sponges from the first fights all the way to the later game fights. You have zero meaningful power spikes that isn't hard countered by how tanky all the enemies are. Do you know why all the enemies are tanky? It's because they are so, so, so dumb that they will ignore cover and stay in the open shooting at you until they die. Except for the ones that rushes you with a knife, but then they also go out in the open and don't use any cover to get in range. The enemies are some of the WORST I've seen in a modern game. There is zero cooperation, zero awareness of each other, zero mechanics tied to one another, they are, even 20 hours in, able to see you through walls through proximity, and then instantly either rush you, or stay and shoot at you in the open with zero cover. I dunno how much more I'll play this - but even when the SP mode comes out, just be aware that THIS game was absolutely made to be some sort of server, always online, MMO-like experience and no amount of tweaking will change that. Thankfully you might be able to skip all the timers and attrition systems.
