Dum-Dum

"C-" Nice adventure style fake-OS game, but bare minimum of what such a game should entail. The game has a unique angle on puzzle solving which is abandoned almost immediately for your standard fair of puzzles and clue hunting. Unfortunately what keeps the game down is how solving a puzzle may not progress the story. Sometimes it enables a cut scene that is only triggered at an undisclosed location. Due to this on my second attempt at the game I actually couldn't get as far as my first despite knowing the puzzles. I do feel with a walkthrough at hand the story could carry it enough to be entertaining.

Less about clue hunting and more about doing annoying mini-games while you get berated for being stupid. Not much world building content from what I have seen after ~3 hours. I get that the vintage/retro UI setting kind of necessitates some kind of terrible UX to feel authentic to the time/theme, but the more you do that the less you are making actual software that actual humans will want to use and to enjoy themselves.

This has quickly become one of my favorite games of all time. I'm a huge fan of old computer sims, and this is the only one I've played that has such a large sandbox aspect to the game!!! The main story is great, and though the game could be a little challenging at some points, after thinking on it for a bit, I was always able to solve it. Super rewarding, fun, likable characters, and even likable villains honestly. Also if you just like old nostalgic computer sims, this one really hit a home run on that too. So many minigames, stories, and things to explore. And a GREAT ending. I highly recommend this game, especially because even after you beat it you 100% can still use it to play on!!!!!!

The aesthetics in this game is marvelous. The major gameplay is fine. But the mini-games like hogoworm dungeon are just annoying as hell and do not provide any satisfaction at all. Before purchasing the game I thought it would be something like Hypnospace Outlaw but it is nothing like that. There is not much reading and reasoning involved and I spent almost 60% of the time trying to play the heck minigames. 5/10 for gameplay and 9/10 for the art. 我是真的服了这玩意，那个贪吃蛇+木乃伊的游戏是真的搞心态。我看评论还有说什么word shuffle也特别难的。这小游戏也太多了，而且也不好玩，到后面纯粹折磨。可惜了这么好的美术，以后搞新游戏的时候注意不要搞这种恶心人的东西了。

This is an extremely fun retro game. You are given control of a mid-80s OS and need to learn how to operate it in order to solve puzzles. However, half of the fun is playing around with the files and finding out all of the features. If you like digging into every little nook and cranny, then this is your game.

Very, very charming interface sim-style game. A bit adventure game-y in its puzzle/progression logic sometimes, but it has a generous hint system. I also thought the main actress playing the Hogo employee you talk to was really funny/engaging, which helped keep my interest as the game continued. It's definitely one of the more creative games in this increasingly popular genre.

I really like these fake OS games, they are pretty much up my alley no mater the presentation. I think this one will probably be under the radar for some people based on the name, but I thought it was enjoyable from start to end. I'm very impressed on how far the concept was taken based on the limited windows that can be opened. Overall a very well made game, and if you are a point and click adventure game fan/fake OS fan like I am, you should really check it out
