Very nice tower defense game, enjoying it immensely. I don't think the store screenshots do it justice.
Pretty good game that made for an enjoyable afternoon. It took me about 6 hours to get through all the content, which was well worth it for the price. I do recommend changing the controls if you're playing on a keyboard though. 6 hours of playing with the default controls left my hand a bit cramped. I'm not holding it against the game, because I only realized I could change the controls until I finished it.
Gut so! :-)
It being cheap is the only reason to buy this game. It's not a good tower defense game and has a bunch of small irritating things about it. Pros -Decent soundtrack -Small amount of disc space -I decently like being able to upgrade towers by doing something like standing next to them but can see it getting very annoying later on. -Options when upgrading is nice (like Rate of Fire or Range increase) Cons -TIMED GOLD DROPS! You have about 11 seconds to pick up any gold that drops from enemies otherwise too bad. -Bad /failed attempts at humor constantly -Many interrupting and unskippable cutscenes and dialogue. Occasionally you can skip but not most of the time -Cheapest tower totally overshadows and makes most others a waste of money as well as a waste of a tower space -Anti-air. Towers broke into ground /air (totally fine) but no way to know where they're coming from beforehand and the wave warning is only for the current wave + the small prep time. Easy to be out of money when they show up without an AA tower. Not a fun mechanic most of the time and badly implemented here in my opinion. -Your character is useless in combat. You have a sword but you do very little damage and are easy to get hit. Which you share hit points with the castle -Some missions didn't give skill points with no explanation as to why -Had a mission where there was a shortcut path to the castle that only got used on the final wave, just a cheap thing to do especially with the main fighting space was on the other side of the map -Overall just feels unpolished with many irritating things even if they're fairly little
[b]Sıradan kule savunma oyunlarını oynarken, bazı ufak kaynak kullanımı hatalarından dolayı kulenize giren düşmanlara bakakaldığınız durumlar var ya; işte bu oyunda o durumları kolay kolay yaşamayabiliyorsunuz. Yine savunmanızı sağlamak için birçok özelliklere sahip kulelerinizi yerleştirirken, aynı zamanda saha üzerinde yer alan savaşçınızla, saldıran düşmanlara müdahalelerde bulunabiliyorsunuz. Bu yöntemle klasik kule savunma oyunları stratejilerinin birazını bir kenara bırakıp, yepyeni stratejilerle savunmanızı gerçekleştirebilirsiniz.
Really solid co-op experience, plays well with the "play together" even with across-the-globe latency
Tl;dr: A serviceable, fun Tower Defense gameplay loop, marred irrecoverably by the baffling intrusion of pointless, useless, repeating, and UNSKIPPABLE dialogue cut scenes before, after, and during nearly every level. ------------------------- The art style is great. The music is truly bangin'. The gameplay loop of the tower defense elements of the game are fun and addicting. The minor RPG elements are fun and help you feel a sense of connection with the character as you customize your build and aesthetic. Standing on towers to level them up reminds of PixelJunk's Monsters Unlimited, and I like it. Using your character to both build towers AND fight enemies with your sword reminds of Dungeon Defenders, and I like it. I think the devs kill it on the above list. For this reason, I feel they deserve praise for their accomplishments, hence my recommendation. If the game simply allowed you to skip dialogue, it would easily be a 4-4.5/5 for me as a Tower Defense game. However, the frustration and disrespect I feel as gamer playing a 2019 tower defense game and being forced to watch the same dialogue cut scenes every time I fail against a boss, brings the score for me down to 2.5/5. This one issue is such a point of contention to me that it very, very nearly makes this a "do not recommend."
HO-LY HEEELLLL IS THE SOUND TRACK AWESOME OR WHAT?! Me and my brother played this game on the switch a while back, we first bought it since we were looking for retro 2 player games and the soundtrack caught us Completely off guard. FU$#@NG PHENOMENAL! I'd rate it on par with both Undertale and DeltaRune, even Kirby. The Game is also a pretty fun short story. Not the best of course, but still fun! Nice and intriguing levels. Quick game play, definitely worth it especially with a cheap price of $5. My only problem is that I can't find the soundtrack anywhere but on steam. Final note, this game should have more reviews, I have no idea why it's so much of a HIDDEN gem
Prof.Vaharrak's Curator Group - Almost 30 years of gaming experience at your service Simple, addictive, fun tower defense. No crazy excessive requirements to finish the game, just complete the level regardless of HP left on your castle. You unlock helmets for your character just by playing. In-between levels you gain skill points which you can use to improve your strength (hit harder), your agility (move faster around the map) or your towers. These are never too restrictive on what you can or can't do, it's very unlikely you will mess up at any point. You can build towers where trees exist on the map. These are for the most part, generously abundant and approppriately placed. You can improve towers just by standing on them and waiting for a bar to fill up. Depending on the type of tower (i.e. arrows, bomb, anti-air) you may improve attack rate, range, power, etc., allowing for experimentation and flexibility. Towers cost money which you get from clearing a wave (mostly) and defeating enemies (less so, but still will net you an extra tower or two at the end of a level). If things get dicey you can also directly attack enemies (and dodge-roll between them to avoid damage and collect the coins they drop) although without some improvement on the skill point tree it won't be a solid tactic, and takes more of a secondary role during levels. Very nice music, visuals are clean and clear. It's very relaxing and pleasant, few games strike me as such, much less tower defense ones. Made me like it a whole lot more than I expected. Glad to have picked it up and very recommended for anyone looking for a casual, light-hearted and fun tower defense.
