Ducks in Space

One of the cutest games I ever played. Basically, you're an Action Hero Duck on a mission in a retro-style platformer game fighting the evil tyranny of Geese. The gameplay is solid, the controls are nice and not awkward, but the best part of this game is definitely the PLIP PLAPS you hear as you walk around. I know people like to wait around for a sale to pick up games on Steam, bu Ducks in Space is definitely worth the full price if you like retro platformers.

This unassuming platformer is oozing with charm. If you just want to rush to the end, you can skip killing most geese or collecting coins. But the joy is in solving each level's puzzle on the quest for 100%. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uf2YNhez-co I had the privilege of being the first person to stream this game, with Happy Cow Games' developer sitting in chat, and it made for a fantastic experience. Level design shines, with difficulty increasing as time goes on. Each world sticks to a general theme: gravity for the first world, portals for the second, pirates for the third, and something I have yet to see for the fourth. The controls are simple. Time your jumps, shoot left or right, and power ups replace your normal shot for three rounds. Some people might complain about the simplicity of it, but the level design shines around these limitations. A more forgiving game wouldn't feel as tight, and Ducks in Space is forgiving enough itself. Levels are short, and the grind for 100% rarely takes more than a few minutes. Personally, I'm going to recommend this game to some of my younger family members to give them an idea about what platformers were like "back in the day." For you, I hope that Ducks in Space fills you with the joy and charm that it did me.

Casual platforming fun with plenty of content, secrets galore, and an inviting sense of humor

Clever and funny. It's short and can possibly speed run through the whole game if you choose.

Don't be a silly goose and support Captain Quakers in protecting the universe from those dirty animals! Don't forget to look cute from a distance but bad-ass during conversations, though! In all seriousness, this is a great platformer to unwind with. The action is varied and the puzzle element to collecting all the coins gives the game an awesome extra challenge.

this game is so fricken cute i cant even i am enjoying the looks of it played a bit of it and omg sooo fun its a platformer where you play as a duck who when i saw thre little bubble image of him didnt think would be cute but he is when you get in game and you get to shoot geese its just a chill game for if you needa relac and just vibe honestly

This game is too cute! Although, don't you dare call the duck cute! I received a review copy of this game. But, don't take that as a bias. I am loving the game so far! It's challenging, fun and once again VERY CUTE! be sure to pay attention to the small details. The dialogue, the achievement titles and the other characters. You won't regret it!

I LOVE this game! A classic platformer that anyone can easily pick up, with lots of fun gameplay mechanics, puzzles and nods to pop culture and other classic games! A MUST OWN title for your library!

I overall really enjoyed this game. It is simplistic without being boring and some surprisingly difficult levels. It has a nice soundtrack, fun humor, and great characters.
