This is a fun game that sucked me in, took several days of my time, and even though I didn't play everything available in it, it left me satisfied. Drill Core is simple ... get a random mission, drill to get resources that you'll either keep for meta progression, make it easier to do the mission, or to actually do the mission (like coal to go down a certain distance or resources you need to send back home early). And it is satisfying in that it has a fun game loop ... drill during the day, fight monsters coming down the shaft at night ... repeat. I wish that there was more variety in the dialogue ... hearing the same phases repeated ad nauseum gets irritating. But the graphics are servicable for the job, the biomes are distinct and have interesting challenges (do you let the monsters spawn in the mine during the day to get extra resources while risking your miners, do you go hard for their nests, or do you try to avoid them entirely?) I wish there was more to the game, some kind of actual story that we were playing through, where the meta progression played into advancing the story, but it's just random missions on different planets, which can be satisfying enough.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I will give a no to this game. I gave it a fair shot, it's too late to refund. IT IS INCREDIBLY TEDIOUS. The entire gameplay loop is to count your miners/haulers every 30 seconds and replace who died. You lose a few every minute. They just keep dying in the mine for no reason. Heading into a lava block or mining a boulder from under it, when there is a better approach. It's insane how fragile and stupid they are. MAJOR ANNOYANCE: END OF DAY RECALL SHOULD BE AUTOMATIC start of day -> all workers go into the mine. It's automatic. end of day -> you have to recall workers manually, clicking a button for 3 seconds. If you forget to recall, most workers die within 10 seconds. Creatures appear at night and eat them. Of course I forget on every other round and *RIP* all my progress. This game should be called RESET SIMULATOR. I've got better things to do with my life than play a game that tries to erase my progress on every round.
This game is so much fun! It reminds me of some of my favorite games all wrapped into one. It’s got a survival aspect similar to Missle Command, a farming aspect like Harvest Moon, and a strategy aspect like C&C Red Alert. I am really having fun with it and would recommend this as a chill-out-and-play strategy game. (Played on OG Steam Deck)
too many things going on, messy, confusing, miners are suicidal idiots.
It's a pretty good game in its niche genre of drilling rogue-like tower defense. It's similar to titles like Dome Keeper and Wall World. I'm definitely happy to see another game of that type. Had a lot of fun completing the game and getting all achievements. There are some issues, though, that I want to point out: -Game crashes a lot and gets laggy in longer runs (or just by having the game opened for long), and the workers sometimes teleport when having higher movement speed - it looks like lagging in an online game. -A lot of buildings and turrets seem to be unequally strong or weak. The game is just really unbalanced.
Unexpected great game!!
It's a game with an identity crisis. A lot of things aren't explained properly, and you just have to experiment only to realize you made a poor uninformed decision about the building you just build.
It is ok micromanagement+autobattler merger. Different scenarios and missions adds some differences to the runs. But it gets pretty repetative and you start to feel as routine as these miners. Additional minus for metaprogression, ew.
