Reviews
Chill gamepaly with short horror-thriller story. Nice experience, 5/5 game for me.
GG
outstanding game
Dredge has me hooked - pun intended. The open exploration scratches the Outer Wilds itch, though they aren't comparable in how progression is tracked. Very satisfying gameplay loop, and is easy to sink time into just trying to do just one more thing, which inevitably turns any play session into a binge (oops).
cool indie enjoyed playing
The to do list keeps growing and so does my feeling to feel accomplished
This game is absolute magic. As a gamer dad with precious short time windows between work and family stuff, Dredge just gets it. You're starting small - dinghy boat, creepy-but-charming sea creatures, and an island arc that unfolds naturally. The fishing loop is genuinely satisfying. Every haul feels rewarding, whether it's tiny eels or leviathans deep underwater. What made me chuckle: this isn't grimdark grind-fest. It's cozy horror - "Lovecraft but make it wholesome" with gorgeous art and intuitive mechanics you'll master before you know it. No dumbed-down UI either. Progression feels earned, not rushed. Upgrading your trawler while uncovering mysteries gives you the right amount of responsibility - enough to keep you hooked without making you sweat too hard. Perfect for unwinding. The horror? Creepy but never overwhelming. That's everything for me as a dad who wants to escape into something beautiful without feeling pressured to stay in fight-or-flight mode. Bottom line: Dredge is what gaming should be. It respects your time, makes discovery fun with realistic suspense and pleasent feeling of mystery and fear. TL;DR: Fishing meets Lovecraftian mystery. Relaxing sessions, not homework.
