Reviews
amazing
I haven't played a game in a long time that captured me like this did. The whimsical art style was beautiful, the story telling was enthralling, and the game play was tense but rewarding. I want a boat now..
Run well on linux btw
8/10. Great story, hauntingly beautiful. Not scary at all though, little disappointed in that, but hey, this ain't Subnautica. I only mark a few points off for a few reasons. First, the end game of fishing (while optional) got tedious and a grind. The RNG of it all really was not fun when you only have like 5 more fish to get, but it takes 2 hours for a chance of a spawn. If I wanted RNG I would play OSRS again. BUT, I loved the entire game up until the endgame. Second, I have an issue with any game that has an annoying creature that follows you... Red Mist I'm looking at you. There were WAY too many of these and it just made it annoying to play at night, unless you want to turn on peaceful mode, but momma didn't raise no... Lastly, I'm disappointed also in locking achievements behind paid DLC. Sure, it is cheap and I probably will get it, but I despise this practice.
This game is amazing. It starts out nice and peaceful and slowly escalates until you don't know what you got into. 10/10 would DREDGE again.
