About
Dragon Hop is a challenging 3D precision platformer collectathon. Play as a dragon hatchling who got left behind in a strange world. Collect tokens to unlock abilities and appearances. Get stronger, climb higher and find clues that can give an explanation to the world around you. Try not to fall!
Are you ready to prove yourself? Well, start climbing!
Dragon Hop is all about getting as high as you can get, to see all this world has to offer. Naturally, slipping, falling, and trying again plays a big part in that. Your journey will be hard, but there are ways for the keen-eyed and curious to make it easier.
If you like exploring, in Dragon Hop you shall be greatly rewarded, as there are plenty of treasures scattered around the world, waiting for you to find them! Found a hidden door? There's likely a golden chest waiting on the other side. See a cave entrance? Time for spelunking! Who knows what kind of crystals may lie beneath the earth?
Are your pockets full of treasures? Well, it's time to use them! Speak with your dragon guide to exchange crystals and learn new skills for your dragon. Gliding? No problem! Spitting fireballs? Bring on the heat! Flying? If you just believe, there shall be nothing stopping you from touching the sky!
Your path shall not be easy. Sometimes a well-calculated jump will not be enough: you may have to dodge some nasty traps too! Be sure to keep on your feet in those moments, otherwise you could face a few setbacks.
Some obstacles can move indeed, but some are straight up sentient! Watch out for these creatures. They are here to make your journey more difficult. Will you try to outsmart them or give them a taste of fiery heat? Up to you!
Having a hard time hopping? See if you can use your environment to your advantage. From riding animals, to activating forgotten constructs - sailing boats to opening portals, never shy away from some exploring. Curiosity kills cats, not dragons!
Why are you here? What happened? What’s the point to any of this? These are great questions. Perhaps the answers don’t even matter, we could just be here for fun. But maybe…, just maybe there is more to this chaotic world than meets the eye. Let’s see if you can unravel the mystery…
Not a fan of hardcore platforming? Try Exploration mode! Dragon Hop aims to bridge the gap between those who like to suffer a bit and those who are just looking for a cosy ride.
In Exploration mode you can look for Feathers to unlock checkpoints with, and save your progress. It’s good for some practice too!
However, should you choose Hardcore mode, you shall be rewarded with special appearances and additional achievements for your efforts.

I bought this game for fun because I don't really know what to play these days, and I've actually had a ton of fun with this. It's something to pass the time, but be aware 748 M in, your dragon goes through a serious acid trip and starts moving the opposite way xD.
a very good game for fun i love the cute dragon
Fantasztikus!
This is a super fun and cute platformer game with a lot of challenging platforming. I had a lot of fun playing it but I do also have to mention that I will not be playing it for a while due to a few issues I have with the gameplay that I feel need to be implemented/cleaned up further for a good experience. Going to write my issues down below, this doesn't mean I don't recommend the game, but there are a lot of things to be vary of when going into this I feel. Things that I personally feel need to be updated/fixed before I can fully enjoy and commit to playing the game: - Player character floaty-ness: Currently your Player character is very floaty. Meaning the movements feel a little bit all over the place and makes it hard to telegraph the movements of your dragon. This ends up making it quite difficult to accurately predict and plan your jumps and movement. When on the ground and landing from a jump, it's almost like you're on ice. I noticed multiple times that my character moved despite standing still. This is my biggest issue with the gameplay of this game. The core mechanic needs to be a lot snappier and easier to telegraph before I could sink many hours into this game. I ended up with several unfair falls due to this and it in the end frustrated me enough to stop playing. - Would highly recommend also implementing some kind of shadow under the character so it's easy to see exactly where you will land. Most platformer or platformer adjecent games have this for that very reason. This would also significantly help with the issues mentioned above as well. - The wall grab mechanic: This one has faked me out so many times. I'll be thinking I'm falling when grabbing ledges and fall when I think I should be grabbing them. This definitely needs some cleaning up to be more accurate and trigger faster? It seems a little slow and triggers a bit all over the place. - The guide dragon: The text box for the dragon guiding us seems to have too large of a trigger area. I've triggered multiple text boxes for him while being in a separate area, or below/above at a great enough distance the text didn't make sense or was hard to make sense of OR triggered after I had seen said tip already causing unnecessary distractions. Definitely could do with a tighter area to trigger and only trigger once. - Starting a new game: This part ended up kind of confusing. You could chuck it up to user error, but personally I feel a customisation feature needs to be separate from the starting a new game screen. I was very confused why I could not start a game for a loooong time before realising I had tried to customise with something I couldn't afford yet. - UI start menu and surrounding UI: This is kind of a big one to me. It is so difficult to tell where I'm selecting while in the main or start menu. The difference in shade is not enough to easily determine which box is actually selected. I recommend making this difference even clearer. Either making your selection highlighted more than the other selections, or having something around the selection that easily reads as selected. - I do understand this is like a love letter to the Spyro games in the sense that it has a dragon and platformer. I would probably recommend more original animations? They feel very similar. While this isn't something it needs at all I do feel it would be better to eventually distinguish yourselves more from Spyro with unique takes on the animations. I understand one can only do so much different and it's not something that makes it unplayable by any means. None of these issues are game breaking, so I still recommend the game BUT personally I need a lot of updates to the core mechanics to continue playing. Positives: - The teleportation is a great mechanic and saved my butt many times. - It's a fun and unique take on a platformer, requiring a lot of skill over just brute forcing your way. even though I did feel I had to do that too at times due to the floatyness It has amazing potential and I hope to come back to this game after it has some more updates!
After having just finished the game, I can pretty confidently say that I enjoyed it. The environments are really fun and unique, the sense of progression is super satisfying, and the freedom of exploration adds a lot to the experience and adds a significant amount of replay value with the different routes and collectibles (if you're a masochist). That being said, the game is far from perfect. There is a significant amount of jank with the physics and the movement isn't quite as smooth as I'd want it to be, especially for the level of precision required for most of the game. I had several occasions where I lost a large chunk of progress to clipping through the ground or a wall or through weird physics/collision glitches. I personally didn't mind, but the game does largely consist of random free assets so visual cohesion is sometimes a little messy. In addition, the lack of an ending cutscene is a little disappointing considering the amount of effort needed to get there haha. All that being said though, this is an indie game mostly made by one person so I'm able to look past most of these issues and enjoy the game for what it is, a cute, fun, and challenging platformer about exploring a bunch of different worlds and hopping around as a little dragon. It seems like the dev is working on ironing out issues with the game so it's possible a lot of my issues will be addressed eventually. Thanks to the dev for making the game and I hope they continue making games in the future!
A delightful little game with challenging (but rewarding) platforming and exploration. If you like dragons then you should give this game a playthrough! A treat from start to finish
可愛い、可愛さでストレス低め なんなら一定数のプレイヤーには 竜になるだけで意味があると思うので おすすめ…日本語がない…? やるんだ…竜の子となり上を目指せ! ちなみにiTunesではOSTが出ているぞ!
