We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Good game
Refunded after an hour. Could not fix the lagging sound bug. Game is 2 years old and still not fixed. This is embarrasing Bioware!

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 29: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 8.43/day in the week to Jul 30 → 6.43/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I enjoyed it. I have previously played Dragon Age games, and this went a different direction. Comparing it to its previous games, I can see why folks say they're disappointed. If it were a new game on its own, it would have been received differently. The dialogue in the first half was painful, but the banter as the game went on was entertaining. Fights are easy, I did every side quest that I found, and left the game on pause a couple times for several hours. I don't know if I'll play it again... maybe with mods? But I think it's worth playing once.
Overall I enjoyed this game. It was certainly worth the sale price point. The game is 60ish hours of fully exploring everything. Unlike the grinding 200 I had in inquisition. Having played all 4 games in a row this year you can really feel the quality of life upgrades from it being a modern game like changing character look and clothing after the create screen. The music and gameplay was fine and immersive. Not being a stationary lighting rod like in previous games was fun. The maps were not too massive or small and puzzles were not too complicated and fast travel points were plentiful. As far as replay value there are some decisions you may want to redo but only 1 is really significant to the overall story and I finished the game satisfied. I'm neutral on this but they removed the tactical if else statements from previous games. I think the disappointing parts were: BioWare is not using the previous game world state enough but I did appreciate the attempt to use some of the old characters albeit for just a scene or too. Dragon battles like previous games were basically the same fight but with different elements. I wish they gave them more depth. Personally I would like it if it was like the first game where the player's origin story completely changes the beginning of the game and where other choices made throughout the game were more impactful. I would have loved for it to have the replay value Origins had. Absolute travesty you only get 3 spells. That is ridiculous. Even if it is for console optimization at least give us more. I played inquisition with a controller and we had way more then. This led to me getting skills in my tree that I had no way of using even if I wanted too.
I just now completed my first 100% playthrough (more like 80-90% as i missed some chests, fen'herals and evanuris). And I started playing dragon age games since few months before. I played first 3 games and loved it (Along with Mass Effect). But, been hesitant to play veilguard because of all the hate it received, but still played it because I love the dragon age lore and wanted to have some answers anyway regardless of how the game is. Spoilers Ahead. Positives: 1) Obviously the updated graphics, game mechanics, combat AI that are in line with the latest technology compare to other dragon age games, as it is their latest game. 2) The visuals like Arlathan Forest and cross roads just completely blown my mind. And also the Treviso city. And the music is just so wonderful. I mean it's hans zimmer. There is like a list to mention in soundtrack that I can't be able to write everything here lol. 3) The Romance with companions is a lot longer and have more than enough time for courtship than any other dragon age game. I had romance with Neve as a grey warden
and her reaction in missions like Something's Coming in hossberg wetlands when rook hears calling along with darvin or her banter in the isle of gods
is so amazing. 4) Companions like Emmerich, Lucanus are very interesting even if you don't romance them. 5) The exploration is also very upgraded with new puzzle systems and new loot mechanics which is unique from other dragon age games, which is interesting like the brazzier, statue rotating etc. 6) The lore of
changed blight
is convincing and that lead to new mechanics of finding the
blight roots
and destroying them is also worth trying. 7) The combat is also very flexible with skill respec anytime, and with interesting combo opportunities of different classes. 8) The game from the quest isle of the gods to the ending is the most highlight of the game which given Mass Effect 2 vibes. 9) The Banter during exploration is very satisfying and very frequent than any other dragon age game. They even continue their banter after combat end, so no need to worry about sudden combat stopping their ongoing banter entirely. 10) The game finally tried to answer almost all the lore secrets rather than gating them with DLCs in DAI. Negatives: 1) Rook is the most dumbest protagonist I ever seen in all Dragon Age games. Yes, he may be a young underdog kind of guy. But so has the HOF in origins. HOF even with no voice had better more serious and mature choices to react than for rook. His dialogue also felt immature and more like a funny typical teenager. 2) Some of the companions like bellara just so underwhelming considering what it could be with the missed opportunities. 3) Although some places are great in visuals, some places like Minrathous have completely disappointed my expectations i build from previous games. I used to admire their architecture found in DAI and it is no where found in the city. 4) The fixed faction system. Although we have different factions, they are all considered as "good". That makes them very linear. No matter we chose
Minrathous or Treviso
, both cities are more or less fine if you do all the missions avilable to them. Both cities have
blight and evil men wandering over
. We don't have choice to select evil factions either. 5) Although the romance is long and worthy, some things make me feel uncomfortable. Like the things between Neve and Lucanis. That won't stop even if you are in deep romance with Neve. Atleast in my playthrough. 6) Yes, the exploration is unique but sometimes it just gets so overwhelming to solve the brazzier puzzles and blight roots even in main missions rather than trying for some extra loot. 7) While the game tries to explain the story and lore secrets, it also expects you to have a prior knowledge on everything or to read tons of codex. And even after that, you just have to interpret or research later with other players or read dragon age novels to have a clear idea about everything. 8) Obviously, the choices from previous games ignored. I know this is not a problem for new players or the players don't have a deep connection with their world states. If it is any other AAA game, i wouldn't have bothered because very rarely games gives you a chance for importing choices. But Bioware is very known for doing this with their most famous game series mass effect and dragon age. So, it's not fans fault for expecting the same. 9) The Inquisitor felt more like a looser. He handled entire south thedas in DA:I and he now just sitting in skyhold and writing letters to rook while south thedas was being destroyed, except for the last part of the game. 10) But, all in all, it's still a nice experience despite of all this. But to be frank, i watched japlin artbook after playing this game and felt that I love it to be my headcanon rather than what happened in DAV. It is like what DC fans felt after Justice Legue's Snyder Cut lol.
Game is alright by itself but the story includes some forced woke-ness that you can't 100% avoid, At least I can kill the woke NPC's in BG3.
