Draft Day Sports: Pro Football 2022

I really wanted to like this game, and spent hours trying to make it work. But it is too buggy. Steam overlays kept popping up over the game while trying to set up. It took five tries and adjusting settings to get a league started. Then the start-up draft left every team in the league way over the salary cap, so no trades could be performed. After restarting again and playing two seasons, my general manager "character" disappeared. Then the next year, I got the "draft screen could not be refreshed" error and that league could not be recovered. I don't think I will be starting another league.

Generally the slowest and most disjointed sports management sim I've ever played in 10+ years.

I was looking for a pro football game with a deep franchise building mode. This game does not have it. Trading, free agency, and scouting are all subpar to terrible. If you want a deep and engaging franchise they have a lot of work to do.

Simply the best football sim experience I have had!

i love the idea! the game is great in a few areas, however, it is largely lacking the ability to control important aspects that should be controlled by the gm. -Scouting has a great base and can be improved but its next iteration i would hope for more control and ability to scout! -The GM doesnt currently have control on how the team spends money on scouting staff pay etc. you should be able to put more money into scouting to get more scouting points. -custom playbook in game is glitchy. id like to leave it on the playbook i use but it reverts back to the default. i cant find where to change that. its got potential to be a great game just needs more and to improve on what is there.

Sadly, I thought this game was going to be awesome. But there are so many things wrong here. For one thing, the stats are bugged in certain places and sadly, this effects the game play a lot. There are other problems too. The outdated "arm" and "accuracy" is really bad to simply depict how a QB throws the ball. What about "short/med/long accuracy" and "play action ability." Why not any of that? The injuries in this game are also way to miniscule. No concussions, no injuries lasting more than 9 weeks, and nothing that depicts anything of "realistic." The draft is fun, but also stupid when your trying to scout a player. Why does the FASTEST PLAYER IN THE DRAFT have a F speed rating when he ran a 4.29 40 Yard Dash? What?! Doesn't make sense whatsoever. The coaches ratings don't seem to do ANYTHING at all, I had a good HC for 4 years stat-wise and he couldn't win a single game in 10 trys? What? Keeping track of the history is hard too when you go to search for a retired player, they half the time don't even show up despite having a HOF career. And now that we are on the fact of HOF careers, why does a player NEED to have a Championship under his belt to get into the HOF cuz last time I checked that wasn't the case in the real world. AND THE BIGGEST PROBLEM OF THIS GAME: more than HALF THE TIME when you reach the end of a season and you need to start the next season, it simply doesn't let you start it and your forever stuck in the off-season. Its a game breaking glitch that happens a lot and once it happens there is NOTHING you can do about it. There are SOME good parts about the game. The practice squad feature is cool, the customization is cool too, and being able to see the faces of the player and coaches is cool too. But overall, DO NOT buy this game. These game devs obviously don't care what the people are saying about their game cuz NOTHING has been done to fix any of this stuff. Lame. Very lame. Go play Front Office Football 8 if you want a REALISTIC game that actually is fun and doesn't break on you 90% of the time. Sorry, but your sports products are really not good at all.
