Doom Work

Ok. It was fun. This is an anti-lemmings game, in which you have to destroy all the robots in each puzzlestage. The puzzles themselves aren't that good, there is generally a lot of ways to cheese them and I think quite a few of them have a lot of noise (in the sense that they can be solved trivially but there are still a lot of unused stuff). I'd say that's sloppy design but I actually like that. I think some alternative ways of solving the puzzles are actually by design and I kinda like it when you get different ways of solving a puzzle. Only, the puzzles themselves are too easy. Besides the noise and cheese, even when you solve it the intended way, it only takes at most one or two attempts to know how to solve them. I think this idea could be developed further, into a longer and more challenging game. You also get introduced to new mechanics every now and then, which is both good and bad, but in particular the first puzzles after the first appearance of a mechanic are kind of tutorials so when that happens that's a free stage. As an anti-lemmings game this one didn't meet my expectations, but as a puzzle game it was fun enough, and cheap enough for its length (1.35 usd price for me). As an idea, the game is great, but I'd like to see it being developed further into a longer and more complete game. You can beat the game in one hour. It would also be interesting to play a randomized (rogue-like style) version of this game.
