Here to pay my respects... Still a solid run & gun shooter from id Software. It runs on a potato, but you'll need to use a source port ( RBDoom3BFG ) to get it running nicely.

As a teenage this is my actual first horror shooter game i had ever played. The story really fits well in the Doom universe, though the story is from an alternate multiverse of that universe. Give it a go. The jumpscares are much more intense here than the newer version of Doom.
A very old-school game with a truly special aura, Doom 3—especially the BFG Edition / Doom 3 Remastered—is a must-have, a must-play for anyone who considers themselves a gamer, and even more so an FPS fan. Doom 3 feels like an evergreen classic, one you simply have to love—because the opposite doesn’t exist in any known universe. Doom 3 is a dungeon-crawler FPS created back in those golden days when open worlds and mass multiplayer were not yet born concepts. You play Doom 3 for its story and for the immersion itself—not for socializing with your buddies. This is a pure, strong, single-player experience. Exceptional graphics, exceptional sound design, exceptional AI (way ahead of its time)—but above all, an exceptional gameplay feeling driven by a powerful storyline. There’s so much more that could be said, but I’ll conclude simply: It’s a work of art. PLAY IT—and you will replay it. 100%.
Un juego que para muchos es considerado como la oveja negra de la saga y que casi mata a esta misma, pero desde mi punto de vista no es mal juego, aquí se nota que id software se quería meter de lleno con el tema de los videojuegos survival horror, ya que, en ese periodo (2004) habían bastantes lanzamientos de videojuegos de horror ya que estaban de moda, hasta rockstar games saco su propio juego de horror, el tema aquí radica es que hubiera funcionado mas en un juego como quake, pero no en doom porque doom es más frenético de por si y tiene bastantes temas de metal, cosa que este juego carece (a excepción del tema principal que es una pasada y es lo único que rescata en cuanto a banda sonora ya que el resto de los temas de este juego es bastante olvidable), pero lo bueno es que aprendieron su error con sus juegos posteriores y no sacaron más juegos survival horror, a pesar de gran cantidad de cosas malas que tiene el juego, es un juego que igual le tengo bastante cariño, ya que lo disfrute demasiado cuando era niño, si eres de esas personas que quieren jugar este juego después de haber jugado los doom más moderno, quizas se les hará algo tedioso o inclusive aburrido, pero aun asi, denle una oportunidad a este juego, que se nota que id software quería experimentar en el mundo del survival horror. Mi puntuación a este juego es un 7/10. Gracias por leer mi reseña, les deseo unas muy buenos días, tardes o noches a la hora de leer esta reseña.
Great game! The story, the soundtrack, the atmosphere, the enemy and setting design, I enjoyed all of it. The main campaign was bit too long for me, but it was worth it! The developers made love to this game!

AT first the game seemed bleak and boring just like Doom 64 BUTT just like Doom 64 this game was surprisingly fun and epic.
Not a fast classic doom game i know. But it is also VERY good!!!! One of my favorite doom game!
