Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.

DNF Duel pushes character archetypes to their extreme in gameplay and character design. I find the diverse roster and high power level to be the main appeals of the game. The visuals are nice too and the characters have personality. The game's biggest shortcomings are the lack of content/QoL even for today's standards and the strange patch philosophy. This includes how there are only 8 stages and music tracks for combat. 8ing seems averse to making weaknesses on some characters but are afraid of other characters being too strong. Rollback netcode keeps the game playable and is much appreciated. The story is mildly interesting despite being a glorified arcade mode, but it doesn't seem like a great introduction to the dfo world and it leaves me wanting more. Thankfully it establishes the characters in a good way. Special shoutout to this game's battle mode, all of that artwork of all the classes and the mmo art dating back to the 2000s made me way more interested in dfo than the story did. I find DNF Duel to be an easy recommend for anyone who wants to learn an over the top insane fighting game that has simple execution yet doesn't hold your hand in gameplay. It's still not a very friendly game to the players but the buffed roll and guard cancel certainly help. All this is second to the fact that Launcher is extremely beautiful and 8ing were correct to use 1st ascension mechanic's design for her over any of the actual launcher designs.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 23: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I'm almost 50. The last time I played a fighting game was Samurai Shodown 2 at the bowling alley on old SUBASE Pearl Harbor (before the merger), and some Killer Instinct at the local movie theater I worked at after I left the Navy. In other words, I'm old, I'm slow, and I have no experience with modern fighting games. So why now? What gets some crusty old sailor to buy a lightning-quick anime style fighter that has a reputation for being difficult for even good players to get into? Honestly, I just thought it looked cool. But I also heard it was a good entry point for new players. Now I've heard other games say they're good for new players as a "starting point", only to get into them and find out they actually expect you to have a ton of previous knowledge about the game to really get into. So I was worried that Guilty Gear would be the same, that it would be a baffling learning experience that never felt like it was teaching me how to really play the game. But I gave it a chance. I played the tutorials and I was surprised to find out that I was, in fact, actually learning how to play this insane game. And even though I am old and slow and have the finger dexterity of a two sticks of partially melted butter, I found myself getting better. Then I went online and actually won a few matches. And that's when it really hooked me. This game took an ancient relic of an arthritic scarecrow nailed to a 2by4 and showed me that even I could learn and practice at getting better. I've always loved fighting games but have always been intimidated by them. As beautiful as these games are with the flashy moves and gorgeous backgrounds and rocking soundtracks, I never felt like I could learn to play one well enough to actually beat another human being in an online match. But I did. And I want to do more and get better. This game rocks. I don't know anything about the previous GG games (I hear they're pretty insane) but this game has got me back into fighting games late in life and I can't wait to learn more and get better and maybe even one day watch EVO and actually know what the heck is going on. So, yeah. I HIGHLY recommend this game, even for salty old seafarers with stiff fingers and who are only a few years away from drawing a social security check.
Yeah, this one flopped pretty hard... Oh well. I still do love this game and i wish to support it till' it's dying breath. I love setting, universe, lore, character designs, silly casual one button move-gameplay (actually more fightings should consider doing that, complicated moves like two full circles or forward+halfcircle and so on are morally obsolete if anything, GranBlue Versus Rising is a good example of that, give them smart button and everyone will use it, only small group of weirdos will cry out something like "UNFAIR, DON'T TOUCH FIGHTING GAMES, YOU DIRTY SMART BUTTON USER"), music... Oh, about that. Actually characters ain't got any musical themes to them and this sucks! Yeah, that's really the only complaint i come up with... Game really is THAT good. At least to me. Oh, and sadly DLC characters ain't gettin' them story modes. But that's really it, overall i enjoyed this game very much despite what all those "evil tongues" saying. Ya'll really need to listen to them people less and check games for yourself. Maybe it'll click with you, maybe it'll not. I truly wish DNF Duel got at least one more season but as things stay... Very doubtful it'll happen. 9/10. (minus 0.5 for decision to make music for stages instead characters, and minus 0.5 for DLC characters ain't gettin' their own story mode routes) -Black-o-White, Black Metal Witch, out~
Given the current state with this game and the content it provides, it isn't worth $20.
~~~~~ this game is definiton of LMAO. Barely any updates, news etc etc. This game had a lot of potential but they said SIKE. From what i know the rpg has a good amount of characters and places so idk why they adding them slowly. If steam had a sign for MIXED that's what i would choose but since that's not available im down voting. Pick a different fighting game if you want something that's gonna have news and updates. I recommend Guilty Gear over this 100% any of the top 3, +R, Strive and REV2. Wait on Tekken 8 or Under Night if you want there's that option too.
É o meu jogo de luta favorito, por que eu não recomendo ? - Não é cross platform - Não tem ninguém no modo online
bro, how the hell do they even have guts to charge for season pass for this?
Look I've played alot of DNF Duel and there were a lot of mistakes along the way to cause the game where it is now. However, you have developers trying hard to rejuvenate the game (via updates, season pass and upfront communication) and you have people and players being pragmatic and massive down voting the game. The core Gameplay of the game always been great, and each updates makes the game even more bonkers. If games like SFV and No Man Sky were given second chance why not DNF Duel. The game is really fun, and playing with your friends is even more fun. The game is 20 bucks right now. Jump in and hopefully I see you online. The DNF duel community always been great and we help new players. Long Live DNF Duel
