Damn this game sure hits different in 2023. Game is actually dog-sheet btw, but I gave it a thumbs up for nostalgia since I had it as a kid
Ran out of Oxygen and got stuck on the wreckage, controller ran out of batteries, overall decent game
10/10 works with logitech f710 controller
Owned this game for years and have never been able to play it because of the quicktime bug. It should be pulled off steam.

"Dive to the Titanic" ist ein Tauch-Exploration-Simulator.
Wertung:
8/10 Atmosphäre 7/10 Story 6/10 Grafik 7/10 Sound 5/10 Spielmechanik 3/10 Balancing 6/10 Spielspass
Fazit:
Extrem langsame Simulation. Echte Langeweile. "Dive to the Titanic" is an ancient game from 2010. It's a whopping 14 years old at the time of this review. The game lacks support for the typical features of modern gaming PCs, hasn't been modernised or updated to run smoothly on contemporary machines. The game looks and feels dated. Despite this lack of modernisation, it carries a pretty high price tag for such an old game. This seems to have be lingering on Steam with an inflated price to try profit from abandonware. This comes across as a game from 2000 rather than 2010. It requires you install Apple Quicktime (!!!!!!) before you can "play" this simplistic "simulator" (but really all you do is put in some simple moves and pretend you're in a submarine while looking at the Titanic). Which would be fine but this game is ancient, old and busted. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 6 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 100,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam? "Dive to the Titanic" is relatively expensive for an abandonware nostalgia gouge, at $9 USD, and it's not worth it. The game is just too old, hasn't been modernised. And as the old saying goes, you can't go home again. Even when it was new, this was never a triple-A game. This is the kind of game that went almost directly from the warehouse into the cheap bargain bins at the front of the shop. Now, on Steam, without any modernisation? This is impossible to recommend. For comparison, the $9 asking price for this game could get you modern games like "Stellaris", "The Vanishing of Ethan Carter" or "Subnautica". Quality, professionally made games like those are frequently on sale cheaper than this.
Dive to the Titanic is a great game for people who want to explore the wreck of the Queen of the Sea. As of September 2021, however, the game is unfortunately no longer playable as QuickTime is no longer.
Loved it. People say it's not a game but I had fun while playing it, not to mention the absolute pleasure to discover the Titanic for the first time and explore it. Let's say it's an experience, and I came to an age when it's what I'm searching for. Typically the kind of software you will find in VR in the future.
