Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Jul 23 → 1.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Game shows a lot of potential, even though i've played only 20 minutes(lol) i can see already how great this game could be if only you're hardcore enough. Unfortunately UI is so hardcore that I'm not hardcore enough to play it further :( I really wish there was neutral recommendation. If you're really into Space-sim 4x games and learning a new ui/game/systems isn't scary for you go for it. I can bet you'll sink for hundreds of hours. On the opposite site, if graphics matter to you and a good UI is a must, try, skip or wait long enough for UI to get better.
Distant Worlds 2 is a mixed bag for me, but I still recommend it. I love the realistic space simulation elements. The true private economy is brilliant, especially how civilian ships physically transport resources and populate the galaxy. I also really enjoy the tactical combat control, the unrestricted exploration, the extensive automation choices. Since I am not into heavy empire customization, I appreciate that I can simply choose a pre-made empire and jump right into the game. The performance issues are a major drawback. Generating a world often causes severe lag and crashes my computer completely and the game completely lacks a cloud save feature. Losing progress because of crashes and zero cloud backups is very frustrating.

A little rough around the edges, but probably the best space simulator out there
1000H+群星玩家给予的好评。游戏看起来复杂其实上手并不复杂,完全不用像群星一样亲力亲为,自动化程度极高,玩家只用做决策就行了,科研船工程船都是自动化分配的
this game seems alright its gonna take some getting used to the music in the game is awful ive never heard anything like it sadly there's little to no micro managing which i think is needed you cant control mining ships or cargo shuttles, you also cant place any buildings where ever you want they are all Pre-selected same with ships until you build a space port then they fly out of the port so yeah im still really early in the game so ill update this review. other than that id say wait for the sales its not worth the 41.99
Good:Very good game, you feel the control of having a civilisation under your command. The different outfit for every ship and building makes this game very unique and different everytime. Neutral: Sometimes there are downtimes that may seem long but we can fast forward so its no problem for me. Bad: The learning curve is steep and i mean its very very long to learn, i'm still learning after 100hours of gameplay
good . worth buy on sale .
Very cool, at least it doesn't lag lategame and is very detailed.
一款糟糕的游戏。你不是游戏里的上帝,而是一个出门忘了给补给船货舱加满油的小工。
Great 4x game!
