Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Jul 23 → 1.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I've been playing a little while and I'm still feeling like I'm learning how everything works. But, its got space ships and empires and tells its own stories. Absolutely worth it.
unnecessary complicated

This is the first game I've ever played that I repeatedly fell asleep while playing. It is barely even a game. It is more like a long, dull simulation where the computer does all of the playing for the player and the player is told what happens through the spamming of messages and just had to reply yes or no if he wants something to happen. And if he doesn't want something to happen, the computer will ask him over and over again until he decides he does. This was on sale for half price at $25? I should have waited until it was 90% off.
just brilliant ! 10/10
Bought the game, booted it up to see how it is...6,5 for my first session lol Bought the dlcs, had some dinner, played again, 10,5 hours for the first day of owning this game. End of day two: 25 hours total.. yeah xD Its now day 3, just had pizza, yumyum: 32 hours and will continue to play in a bit lol The first few experiences consisted of bursting out in laughing from the level of detailed simulations as i discovered them in the tutorials, which break them down in perfectly comfortable slices, kinda like my pizza was. The more i completed tutorials, or tours as they are called, the less daunting i felt for starting the game. So i hit unpause and unexpectedly found myself comfortably enjoying the pace of the game and how everything gets presented to the player and their game. Yeah, i lost that first game, as i should have lol. I tried to pit two other factions against each other by funding one more peaceful one fighting one more aggro one, the aggro one said "sod that" and brought the war to me haha At first glance the game looks complicated, and the simulations are very detailed, as is the scale. But this is truly a game that is at least easy to get into, yeah you wouldnt think so from the ui at first glance, but really the ui is rather genius. And i suppose its hard to master, but i couldnt tell you, since im no even past the beginner stage even though that i no way impairs my ability to comfortably play it and enjoy learning and discovering mechanics and maybe even howto do things a bit less crude lol Its fun, its pretty enough, i like it.
DW2 has some great elements and some weaker points too but the good outweighs the bad quite significantly. If you like your Sci-Fi and empire building you should enjoy this game as I have. The diplomacy is a bit weak and I never quite feel as in control as I do on Stellaris. But its got a great feel and I think this series will only improve with time.
great game, i like the options to show only the notivication that i wanne see
Space is Big. In Distant Worlds doubly so. Vast space 4X pausable real time. Much more detail to fiddle with than Stellaris if you like that. Thankfully everything can be left to the AI to control, so you pick the bits you enjoy and let computer manage the rest. It makes a game that would be horribly overwhemling and full of micromanagement actually fun. History suggest long term dev support too with more DLC on the way over time likely.
