Best ♥♥♥♥ i've played in a while, already excited for the sequel.
Oh yeah this is the stuff. Crazy story and horrific visuals? Check. Deliberately insane item hunting, fitting of the theme? Check. Voice acting that might not be "great", but is dripping with passion? Check. Faithfully recreates the vibes of horror games of old? Check. It's a good game! I'm excited for Dismantled 2, I hope it comes out in 2024.
Resident Evil gets spliced with The Island of Dr. Moreau. I really wanted to like this game as there is a decent amount here thats interesting and I love when a game isn't afraid to use a super dark tone, but it was just really frustraiting to play sometimes. You spend more time in vents than John McClain, key items aren't always noticeable, some of the "puzzles" are really obtuse, and while the location is interesting, its way too big for its own good. I often found myself wandering around looking for something I missed than really being able to get into what was going on. It's not terrible, I just have a hard time saying its good enough to recommend to others. So while ultimately this game was a miss for me it does have its good points and I hope the dev keeps going, I'll certinally keep an eye out.
Thank goodness i was able to edit my gameplay of this! I played it for the first time uncensored on YouTube and had a "fun" time censoring everything not knowing how bad it would get. I did also stream it recently and will be trying to beat it! 8/10
(edit: Extremely underrated game) This is the coolest SAW videogame I've played. It's grotesque, unsettling, grungy, and is indeed scary. It's hard to make a FPS horror game where your fighting back against the horror truly scary cuz it's like "Oh well I have a gun so what's the point in being scared" (games that try this but kind of fail are RE 7 and 8 in my opinion) but this one is genuinely horrifying. If you like retro graphics or can stomach them, and like games like RE, Lost in Vivo, Nightmare of Decay and other survival horror action stuff like that, this is a must play. It's got annoying stuff you would expect from a doom engine game like that weird friction you get from touching walls and objects, but if you can fight through that it's worth playing. My favorite part of this game ahs to be it's art direction, atmosphere, gameplay loop and overall vibe. The gameplay is your classic survival horror "Explore, find supplies and equipment, solve puzzles, and fight horrors" and it's done very well here. Highly recommended for horror fans who like action and find horror action games to just not be very scary these days. It's got jumpscares but doesn't rely on them and it's mostly the overall vibe that really sells the horror. But be warned... I've played some pretty messed up games that make me go "I can't believe someone would put this in a videogame" but this has to be in my top three for most effed up games I've ever played, right up there with grezzo 2. And it's great. There's a censored graphics option for the faint of heart. Most of the horror comes from body horror so if you're more into Blair Witch Project/Insidious instead of stuff like SAW or Hostel, this might not be your thing. You will absolutely be disgusted and shocked by what you face in this game. But it doesn't feel too gimmicky or played out because of the way it's presentation and gameplay is handled. I've restarted several times and haven't beat it because it's hard to know where you're going or what you've done recently if you've put the game down fora while and picked it back up, which I've done because this is a dark and stormy night type of game. But every time I play it I completely engrossed (emphasis on the gross) and immersed in the game.

This is going to be a short review as I have not even cracked this game yet. Reason I'm reviewing it at this time at 97 mins is cause I love the first one. And the directors cut looks to be even better. Upscaled graphics, new secrets (a lot more), lots of extra content, I don't even wanna go over whats new cause to many spoilers but its very nice. I highly suggest getting the first dismantled before buying this. For one reason, you won't notice all the extra content, and there is a lot of differences between the original and the cut one. Also to test the waters, unless you just absolutely love the concept of this game you might want to try out the original to see if its your kinda game. I liked it so much that I binge played it for 80 plus hours so, that's how I feel about it. The game is full of content and extremely replayable.
ça partait bien mais glisse assez vite dans le grotesque. je passe mon tour
Good for the first hour or so, and soon it becomes a back tracking key collecting door searching simulator. Story is written by a edge lord b movie horror director wannabe, and the graphic is not styled, it is limited by the skills of the developer. nothing special here. the game works, and it has some gore. thats it.
