Purchased for $3 on steam sale and would have paid $30. Awesome story, great characters, and stellar stealth gameplay. 8.5/10.
A timeless masterpiece.
I don't think I've ever played another game that gives you as much freedom as Dishonored. Every mission feels like a giant playground where you can experiment however you want. You can sneak across rooftops, possess a rat to get through a tiny hole, stop time, blink behind enemies, or ignore half the tools the game gives you and still find your own way through. It's one of those games that just gets better the more you replay it. Everything about Dunwall is amazing. The atmosphere is incredible, the lore is genuinely interesting, and the world feels lived in without constantly throwing exposition at you. Every level is packed with little details, hidden routes, and environmental storytelling. You can tell Arkane put an insane amount of thought into every single map. If I had to complain about anything, it'd be that the story loses a bit of impact because Corvo never says a word. There are a few moments where having him actually react would've made the scenes hit harder. Also, Ghost runs can be a pain unless you're willing to quicksave every five seconds, but that's honestly just me nitpicking. This is one of those games where you can feel how much love went into making it. The gameplay, the level design, the atmosphere, the lore, the characters... pretty much everything is top tier. It's an absolute masterpiece and one of the easiest recommendations I can give.
The best stealth game I've ever played! The game deserves a remake on a modern engine.
