There are a few things that you should know before getting into this one. The game will crash randomly and it seems to happen more often the longer you play. I have been playing on the Steam Deck, so I have to bring up the overlay and exit the game when it happens. I have had it freeze when starting a battle and in menus in the base. I don't know what causes it. I really like the Auto-Battle mechainic. I have played all the US releases of Disgaea games and while I do think this one is easier because of the Auto-Battling, I did not loose any enjoyment from going through the story and grinding my characters' levels. In fact, I really liked the fact that I could set things up and let it run to gain levels, instead of me contstantly interacting when level grinding in the past games. I think there is still a lot here if you enjoyed other Disgaea games and if you like to see the numbers go up for your characters then this one delivers on that. Recommend getting it for a discount price due to the bugs that cause the game to freeze being very annoying.
im not even far into this game i have about 14 characters and its crashing like mad, its not a hardware problem its software thats the issue, cant get a refund because i bought elsewhere so ive just ordered a physical copy for my switch.

Worst Disgaea game in every aspect. I don’t know how you can go from Disgaea 5 to making Disgaea 6. The boosters are cancer. And beyond that, it’s a lame cash grab that feels designed to scam new players who came into the series with Disgaea 5.
There is NO reason the main character of the WORST Disgaea game should be so cool
This is definitely worst of the Disgaea series. I restarted the game 3 times since my save file kept corrupting. I gave up entirely after the third time the save files corrupted. None of the fixes on the internet helped me, so I did the best fix possible: uninstall the game. Save your money and play Disgaea 1-5 (and D2 if you can somehow get your hands on it).
.... it's Disgaea... OF COURSE I RECOMMEND IT!!
chef kiss! for me , idk why people going wimp about it ..i know the games feel like different but hey it got auto battle ..and is the best for me .. i work 13 hours a day do you think i have time to wiggling to strategies it ..n yes AUTO BATTLE IS GOD ..and i love NUMBERS .. the worse is d7 if wanted to put auto battle just put it ..no need to requirments for poltergas or wtf is called ..why not just do it like D6 ...anyway i love it chef kisses ! EDIT: no DISGAEA 7 completed edition on PC STEAM ? are steam player cybercrime for you ? this is sadden me NIS waiting and waiting NO DISCOUN
Horrible, este juego no deberia existir es una desgracia para todos los disgaea
Long time fan of the series starting from Disgaea 1. I understand the switch from 2D to 3D would result in some lack of polish. So I could ignore the awkwardness of some animations, and hopefully look forward to the next release. The part that got me was a complete cut of weapon specific moves, which has been in every release, including Disgaea 1. Losing the ability to suplement poor class skills with weapon skills. This was further customized with using different class evilties. Which brings a perfect reason to reincarnate into another class. Which brings me to the other disappointments: - Story: Overall acceptible, but jumping worlds for each section left the story chopped up and distorted. Combine that with how each episode ended resulted in me feeling like I was replaying the over and over again. Causing me to lose interest and ignoring the story after episode 6. - Speed Leveling: earlier releases would have the story be completed in the first 100 levels. Which helped control the gameplay balance. Once you are over level 100 the stats excellerate drastically, as this would normally be post game challenges. This left levels, stats, and damage values feeling cheap and pointless. - Overleveled: Without trying. There was no need to attempt any of the side content. I actually recommend NOT using the side content until you've completed the story. Diving into the 'Item World' or 'DLC' once or twice will leave your characters overleveled. This is mostly due to how quickly characters level up. Effectively exceeding the expected levels from the other games in only the first episode. TLDR; I stopped in episode 8. Core features gutted, and excessively easy leveling left gameplay feeling cheap and lacking. The switch to 3D models was not enough of an excuse. Go try the other releases instead (1 through 5). Recommending Disgaea 1 for those new to the franchise, as it has more polished gameplay.
