A medium-length complicated series of puzzles, with an unusual good-looking game mechanism. You should definitely play the first game of the series first. The game features a built-in progressive hint mechanism which may mean you don't have to resort to a walkthrough as you would for many puzzle games. I did still need a walkthrough for a couple of places, but I'm not very good at these things. I consider it worth the money.
ненавижу игры где надо делать что то на скорость

I'm really happy to see Jason Godbey honing his craft and making more games like this. :) His growth as a developer is clearly showcased here, and I was excited to play this game as soon as it released. I do feel like some of the puzzle designs aren't as polished as they could have been. Some things feel a bit chaotic with inconsistency in how the rules of the world work, but over all it was a fun little adventure game full of out-of-the-box thinking and clever concepts.
A visually gorgeous surreal adventure (in more or less the same vein as the first Discolored game, but this time with optional enemies and bosses), in which we are trying to return color to an entire world rendered completely gray and almost lifeless by a malicious organization. To achieve our goal, we use color prisms and various literal/material and figurative/concept tools and objects that we gather along the way. At first sight, the mechanics of the successive puzzles we encounter may appear as not making too much sense, but once we get immersed in the game's structural and conceptual universe, everything starts to fall into place. On a side note, I admit I was somewhat confused by the player's point of view in relation to the characters we meet during the game. Are we supposed to be "embodying" the science/agent lady in the red suit? The young man whose photo we find in the office desk at the beginning? Or to be alternating between the two? Perhaps something eluded me, but I had the feeling it was not made entirely clear, plus the sudden shift from first to third person towards the end. Other than that, the central idea is brilliant, with an interesting philosophical subtext, some instances of clever tongue-in-cheek humor and meta-elements I personally enjoyed. I just finished Discolored 2 in Safe Mode (without the enemies) and will soon give Standard Mode a try.
As good as the first game, 10/10, still worth it.
Really enjoyed the next part, must've played after bug updates because it played through perfectly without issue for me. Puzzles are challenging, but not impossible, and the setting is unique like the first game. Having a good time playing back through for achievements.
谜题没什么逻辑性,玩起来并不有趣
My play time is a playthrough. I enjoyed this game, as I enjoyed the 1st one, but I don't see any addition, any extra compared to that title. This plus the play time, vs the price tag... I don't know... Let's say it's thumb "ish" - buy the game on a 50% discount, at least 25% if know the 1st title and liked it. The only real negative I could add is, puzzles are (far too) simple, yet sometimes puzzling (yes, intended... sorry...), but not because of being complex or complicated, plain illogical instead, far too "out of this world", therefore, could not be figured out, one had to experiment, fiddle around with things randomly to get a "why this worked, really?" result. Giving a spoiler-free, not-from-the-game example of what I mean: Let's say I plug in a water heater --> I press 'on' --> water heats up --> so if I add a tea filter, I get tea. That's a chain of thought, A -> B -> C -> expected result. In this game however, a number of things are too abstract, so if I add water to a cup, I need to find a color flasher boom-boom device, flash at it 3 times, this heats up the water apparently, so if I use a prism on the wall socket, due to discolorization, the water turns into tea. Sure, "why not", but this is not a puzzle, it's struggling instead, figuring out what the creator thought, in order to get a "reasonable item" (e.g. a key to a door) created, which is needed to move on, even if the "logic" is painful behind it. All in all, these aside, it's a nice little thing and it's a one-guy-army studio if I'm correct (I know the animator worked on this title in person and as far as I know, he is still a freelancer), so go for the game, support people giving us games, ignore the no sayers -- yet mind it's not perfect. Nice, adorable, but not perfect. Have fun playing the game!
Great effort by an independent developer - huge appreciation to him for creating this high concept colorful (pun intended) adventure puzzle game where everything changes due to color. Harder than the first game mainly due to two factors: getting used to the matter manifestation game mechanic (
needed items were actually placed in the pause menu
) and often finding items or buttons involved a hot-spot hunt; but still a worthy successor and enjoyable. I didn't personally care for being chased or killed so I used the safe mode for a more relaxing experience. The hint approach is good - had to use it a few times and it provides true hints, not complete solutions, which is great. Sometimes all it takes is a nudge. One minor item that may be a glitch
the key needed for the gate only appears if the requisite video tape is at the end, pausing the tape before the end even if the gate has been opened does not result in the key being in the lock
. Good choice for puzzle adventure fans. Recommended.
