Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 33.29/day in the week to Aug 6 → 40.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A detective who couldn't remember his own name, his childhood, or who he used to be. Chasing clues across the city, trying to solve the mystery of a murder and the stranger staring back from the mirror
The furies are at home in the mirror; it is their address… Even the clearest water, if deep enough can drown.
- "Reflections" by R. S. Thomas Easily the best written videogame to date - it'll make you sad, it'll make you glad, it will make you feel all right. The non-linearity and reactivity are also hardly matched, and will keep you entertained for at very least for 3 full playthroughs. The gameplay is innovative enough to not feel like you've played a similar game before, building upon tabletop game tropes but putting its own spin on it with the thought cabinet and skills talking all the time in your head, guiding you in the right direction, giving you more information, or leading you astray. The music is great, the voice acting is highly skilled and sounds natural - every voice actor was hand picked and they recorded at the devs' studio under their guidance to make sure voice actors fit the characters, the artstyle is unique - especially skills' and characters' portraits The worldbuilding, oh man, THE WORLDBUILDING, it's quite something. The atmosphere is a bleak ruin, that of a dying world on the brink of existential calamity, all of that as a backdrop for a detective murder mystery, with you inhabiting the most unorthodox sorry excuse of a cop suffering from amnesia and harboring a past trauma he has to get over or succumb to. And somehow the writers manage to weave this mish-mash salad of ideas into a coherent, thematically interconnected story. Oh, and it will challenge you on politics and make you ask yourself questions you haven't really bothered to before about where your values stand, but it will also won't stop you ignoring it and going full apolitical and just doing your job. It's definitely not everyone's cup of tea - wallowing in sorrow and depression and coping via weird sense of humour - but it was right up my alley. Sadly it will remain a one-of-a-kind work due to the founding developers losing their own company to shareholders. I'll close this review with a link to the opening dialogue - if you're still on the fence, please look at this masterpiece: Dico Elysium: The Final Cut - Intro - "I like pain and burning light" ver.
Masterpiece. Don't buy it.
incredibly boring gameplay, or maybe the better choice of words are that there is no gameplay in the first place
can the original developers please make something along the lines of a visual novel where kim and harry yaoi is the only thing that happens in it
I could go on and on about this game, but I'll keep it simple and say this is one of the most unique and enthralling RPGs I have ever played. In no other game can you be an Apologetic, Fascist, Neo-Liberal, Communist, Drunk, Super-Cop and still solve an incredibly complex murder mystery. 10/10
I wouldn't call Disco Elysium a game, since most of the gameplay you'll be interacting with is reading, not playing. A "visual novel" with some light point&click adventure elements or "choose your own adventure book" would describe this game more accurately. With that said, the gameplay of Disco Elysium is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fire. Devs definitely did their homework on everything they touched in their game, be it medical (both physical and psychological) conditions, political themes, or philosophical topics. This game also has a range - it can be both depressing and inspirational, funny and sad. all at the same time. It's a shame the original devs got scammed out of their own company by current leadership of ZA/UM, but hey, even if we won't ever get a proper sequel or DLC, I'm still happy this game was made.
This is no longer just a game. This is art. This is a masterpiece, a work that uses the medium of video games to bring together literature, history, philosophy, psychology, and sociology. If I were to imagine the kind of game I would want to create, there would probably be two different possibilities. One would be something like Stardew Valley: a warm, peaceful home where you can temporarily escape from reality. The other would be something like Disco Elysium: a game that forces you to look into the deepest parts of yourself while relentlessly questioning yourself, other people, the world around you, and the meaning of existence itself. The moment I opened the game and saw Revachol at sunset, painted in those loose, expressive brushstrokes and those incredible colors, I knew the visual style was made for me. The art direction throughout the entire game is stunning. And then there is the writing. Apparently everyone in Revachol is a philosopher. You could pull almost any random person off the street and end up talking to them for hours. Sometimes I genuinely wished I could crawl through the screen and sit down with these people from different classes, backgrounds, political ideologies, and schools of thought and simply talk. I wanted to hear all the different ways they understood the world. And the game lets you listen and reflect. The pain, confusion, oppression, and nihilism that permeate the writing suddenly brought me back to my years in academic research. Reading it gave me that peculiar, exhilarating feeling of recognition I sometimes get from Dostoevsky: that feeling of entering minds that are painfully self-aware, contradictory, ridiculous, wounded, and desperately trying to make sense of themselves and the world. After changing fields, I had been away from the humanities and social sciences for so long that I had almost started to fear I had lost a part of myself, the part that could perceive and appreciate subtle and abstract forms of beauty. But the familiarity Disco Elysium awakened in me made me realize something: It is still there. I did not lose it. I can hardly imagine how much knowledge, reading, thought, history, politics, philosophy, and lived experience must have gone into creating Revachol, into creating an entire world like this. Revachol feels as if it has existed long before you arrived and will continue to exist long after you leave. Its history weighs on every street, every building, every political argument, and almost every person you meet. But more than anything, I don’t think I will ever forget those words at the end: “I exist.” The weight of those words hit me straight in the heart. They feel unbearably heavy. I think they land differently on anyone who has ever fallen into nihilism, anyone who has ever stared at existence itself and asked: Why? What does any of this mean? Why am I here? And perhaps sometimes existence simply is. Perhaps the answer has been inside the question all along. “I exist.” Maybe that is enough. Finishing Disco Elysium felt like living through an entire century. Through every side quest, every conversation, every ridiculous failure, and every small discovery, you watch people in Revachol struggle with history, ideology, poverty, loneliness, grief, love, memory, disappointment, and themselves. It is a heavy game. Everyone is struggling. But somewhere inside all that struggle, there is always the faintest trace of hope. Not optimism. Not a promise that everything will eventually be fine. Just a tiny, stubborn possibility that something can still exist, something can still change, and perhaps you can still keep going. And the mere existence of that tiny, stubborn hope within all that struggle... that, to me, is Disco Elysium. Finally, I just want to express my respect and gratitude to everyone who created this game. Thank you for making something like this exist. HARD CORE!!
