Dino Trauma

Dino Trauma? More like "endless miandering with fruitless search for yet another keycard, switch, electric box"-trauma because this is the mose traumatic experiance of all (also the most common with this game)! Dinosaurs are quite annoying yes - but can be easily defeated (maybe because most of them so suspicously small). Overall tedious and boring game right now. Which is unfortunate - I like dinosaurs and games with creepy atmosphere and retro-aesthetic. I kinda like some oldschool movie references and some mini-games but this not enough to recomend this game. Also - it's not as action-packed, dynamic and fast-pased as trailer wants you to believe.

Love it!!, surprisingly this is the game that really made me scream out of my seat. Keep it up!!!

Fun, novel, and importantly to me at least, not life wasting. The game absolutely delivers on dinosaurs and battling said dinosaurs, and the progression of difficulty with enemies in this game is nicely balanced. I played through what content was available on hard difficulty in mid 2025, of which there existed only the complete first set of levels as I understand it, and I enjoyed the replay-ability exhibited by the old-school FPS design of the levels. Keycards, well distinguished sections, and new weapons when a clear milestone is reached. You really can't go wrong with this design. A reasonable progression system allows you to get ludicrously powerful if you dedicate the time and like investing into games you play for the feeling of achievement, but if you just want to complete the game and then set it down like I did, Dino Trauma is excellent for this as well, as there is not so much begging you to get distracted and forget what you had to do today as you'll find it most modern AAA titles. I could go into more depth if I pleased, but these are the major positives that stick out to me from my experience playing. Highly recommend for the journey it entails.

Lo he empezado hace poco, tenía este juego pendiente en la biblioteca desde hace tiempo. Y, sinceramente, debería haberlo probado antes. El juego de momento me encanta, puedo ver muchas cosas que son como guiños ha Dino Crisis 1 y 2, con un punto de vista en primera persona y ese estilo grafico de PSX que se ve tan genial para estos juegos. También tienes que probar cosas, sobre todo, dar patadas a cosas para desbloquear secretos y poder seguir adelante. Seguiré jugando estas semanas pero de momento me parece un muy buen juego.

Some of the puzzles are not easy with a controller :( Otherwise this is a fun game with great atmosphere. It reminds me of a mix of Jurassic Park for SNES and Trespasser for PC. The levels themselves are well designed puzzles that flow naturally. The shooting is okay but that’s not really what you’re here for. I would say that this game is reminiscent of some of the total conversions for Quake 1 & 2, definitely retro as described.
