Dino Eggs: Rebirth

Very enjoyable game. If you played the old C64 or Apple version back in the 80's, it is based off of that with a few tweaks. The story and puzzle mode give it a nice breath of fresh air. It is definetly a game for a niche audience, mostly the older players who grew up on these type of siimple and casual platform games. The game mechanics are quite easy to master, with some new elements on how to spelunk around. IE jumping onto the spider threads. Can easily be played with a keyboard or controller. You can even set it up to work off of a simple directional controller and one button if you like, as in the original ( I think you can ) I did have an issue with the game not wanting to initiate my Nvidia graphics card on my laptop, as the generic Intel Graphics chip doesn't seem to be able to handle it. However, this is easily remedied by just going to the Nvidia control panel and assigning the game to run on high performan graphics. Many laptops tend to use both systems and sometimes the Nvidia setup doesn't recognize that a game needs to use it, when it is set to auto detect which is best. 4.2 / 5 For the nostalgia alone, it is worth the price.

A great homage to the original 1983 game, which is among my favorite Commodore games. Rebirth is just as addictive as its predecessor, and I love how the graphics, mechanics and sound effects all have elements that play off the original. My ONLY criticism is the atrocious kerning on the large scrolling cutscene text (I'm a graphic designer) - but otherwise I love it!

Juhu, endlich, Dino Eggs ist eines meiner Lieblingsspiele aus der C64 Zeit *_* da werden Erinnerungen wach.

Sorti au moment où j'avais envie de telecharger un emulateur et rejouer à l ancien. Pas irreprochable, mais un vrai revival. plaisant à souhait. Ca m a fait tres plaisir d y revenir. Deja 25 heures de jeu dessus. Ceci etant je suis conscient que ca ne plaira pas à tout le monde. L'idée des puzzle est bonne, mais ils sont legerement trop simples, ou trop tordu, il ne me manque que deux achievments.... quoi dire d autre que j adore :) Allez reste Conan, Drol, Aztec, Lode Runner, Boulderdash, et tellement d autres...

Petit jeu rétro respectant tout à fait l'esprit de l'original, un plaisir à (re)découvrir.

The original game was incredible for it's time but the controls always felt a bit sluggish. This remake captures the original gameplay and updates it with new puzzles, levels, and improved controls.

Couldn't get enough of this game back in the 80s and 90s, and can't get enough of the new version now! It's been a year and a half and I am still hooked!!!

I had the original on the Apple ][ back when I was a teenager; David always made interesting games with interesting mechanics, and this one is no different. The original was more action oriented, this is more puzzle oriented, and I like the change. It's very much the same mechanics with a puzzle element and quality of life updates. It's a lot of fun, I'm going to enjoy going through all the puzzles but got stumped so instead I'm writing a review! Now I wait for a redo of Crisis Mountain!

Pour les nostalgiques de l'époque du Commodore 64, ce jeu est incontournable !
