Großartig, wir haben das Spiel geliebt!
So addictive!
The gameplay isn't that much different comparing to Diner Bros 1. Overall, this game is more of a graphic, texture, and UI "adjustment" (I wouldn't necessarily call it an upgrade) to its previous installment; there is not much change in terms of gameplay and mechanics. If you don't like the first Diner Bros, this one probably wouldn't change your feelings either. If you haven't played the Diner Bros series, buying this one would suffice. There are many design oversights especially in the UI design. Some dishes are just too similar to each other and it hurts my eyes just to read them. Like French fries vs. French fries with cheese or noodles vs. rice. Also, once you put ingredients into the pot, you cannot check what you put until you take them out. How the AI waiter function is obscure and you just have to figure out what she would do yourself without clearer instructions. The final 4-star achievement is tedious as you mindlessly grind the level just to reach $9999 for that. The difficulty meter is hidden in the settings instead of the menu, and I only discovered that near the end of the second chapter, while my wife and I already found the game a bit too easy. None of the complaints I have for this game are critical enough to give it a thumbs down, but there is neither anything worth praising about. Diner Bros 2 is really a bland and uninspiring co-op cooking game that stand just above of other worse first-person cooking simulators.
I loved the first game and was curious what the dev was up to on a whim; Happy to say I absolutely love this one as well. While I don't really like the more free-form kitchen and restaurant setups I still appreciate the hectic challenge it offers.
This game now has double the content it had at release. I think it's the best cooking game.

As someone who has played hours upon hours of Overcooked, Overcooked 2, Overcooked All you can Eat, and PlateUp, I just want to say I (along with my family) really like this game. The campaign format is really nice and the movement upgrades are a cool addition. Unlike plateup, which has gameplay centered around some unfun aspects like dish cleaning/ restocking and slowing the player down in muck, it's nice to get movement upgrades that have me mad-dashing around the kitchen. Each of those aforementioned games fills a certain niche, and I feel like Diner Bros successfully creates its own lane. Campaigns, upgrades, expansions, rearrangements, NPC servers for 1-2 players, and (the number one differentiator) the unique customers make this game one worth considering in your rotation of top down cooking games. I really am looking forward to any potential future expansions.
