The Touryst

[i]The Touryst[/i] is functionally a simple collection of mini-games and fetch quests, but I won't lie, it's pretty endearing. There are clear shades of old Zelda (à la [i]Link's Awakening[/i]) evident here. And after experiencing my first of Shin'en's games via [i]Fast Fusion[/i] during the Switch 2 launch, I dived into the backlog to find this. Recommended if you want a laid-back, almost puzzler, almost collectathon, almost platformer to unwind to (even if some of those puzzles can get pretty obtuse). But boy, I'd sure love a sequel... [b]7/10.[/b] [i](Played on Steam Deck OLED at 800p90fps using Medium settings and no aliasing, with 10-13w power draw and 3-5hrs of battery life.)[/i]

It's a precision platformer without precision controls. I really love the concept and humour of the game, but actually playing it is massively frustrating.

I would like to recommend this game so badly however the confusing mechanic alongside with the frustrating boss fights and puzzles make it hard to get used to.

棱角分明的体素风搭配柔和的光影，清新养眼的画风一下就吸引了我的注意，放假从吃灰的库中翻出来半天时间打完全成就通关。 旅人主角坐着船长驾驶的小船往返于海上的遗迹岛屿间，探（po）索（huai）解谜历史遗迹，顺便帮助遇到的人们，拍摄指定人物景物的照片，较量特长方面的能力，进行各种有挑战性的小游戏等（像是三个街机游戏打破高分记录我打了好久），最终搭乘遗迹中的火箭前往目的地，亦或是旅程的起点YST。 游戏玩法挺丰富的，每个历史遗迹的开启方式和其中的解谜部分都各不相同，后期会使用到疾跑和二段跳；支线任务除了街机之外还有音游、冲浪、足球、引体向上、划船等；十层的地下矿井一眼望不到底，小心加耐心才能安全抱得所有钻石归（虽然失败次数太多后面懒得用绳索，直接凭感觉跳了），结果讲价下来1颗钻石还不值一个金币……就是剧情方面没啥展开，结局老旅人说好奇游戏第二部会怎么发展，我也期待一下吧！

Nettes Spiel, mit hübscher Voxel-Grafik. Die Rätsel sind gut lösbar und insgesamt gibt es einiges zu erforschen. Wäre die Steuerung und der Kamerawinkel weniger hakelig (z.B. bei "Bossen" oder in Höhlen), wäre es wiklich eine perfekte Indie-Perle.

*Originally played to completion on Switch and Game Pass. A light adventure game that has the best use of the voxel art style I've seen. The gameplay gives me shades of the original Lego Island on PC, but with a much better structure. Very pleasant.

This game has a problem with depth perception.

Heavily relies on jumping, yet jumping controls are terrible. If they would have made puzzles to solve vs jumping puzles it would have been a cool little game.

Played this game on nintendo switch.. Its very unique and fun!

Very surprising game. Took me some time between first launch and longplay, I was not really hooked by the visuals and art direction at first, the "small" locations, but when I dug into it, I couldn't stop playing it until 100% completion. Visuals and characters are very charming after all, music is discrete and well designed also, nice atmospheres, some puzzles made me struggle and restart like dozen of time, mostly because of 3D perception and camera choices, but it's not a real problem and it gives some challenge, controls are precise and fine. I really enjoyed playing that game, thanks to the creators for that uncommon experience. If it was a videogame I'd like to see the sequel :-)
