Great first person puzzle game with, a nice mysterious atmosphere, great music and i really liked the artstyle. Puzzles were fun and sometimes challenging Nice feature was the notetaking or sketching you can do on the pictures you take yourself, so you don't have to use external notetaking or alt tabing (which wasn't really a problem as well). Recommend playing it, if you enjoy puzzle games.
Highly recommend this puzzle game
This game was great! The puzzles were challenging but intuitive. The graphics were beautiful and the story line was great. I even liked the narrators. I got it for a very discounted price but I would say it is worth the full price.
Amazing engine and feel, fun puzzles and vibes
This is the best adventure puzzle type game I've played in a really long time. I grew up on the Nancy Drew mysteries, and this feels like an updated version of the aspect of those games I loved the most - exploring an environment and putting together disparate clues and bits of information to progress through the environment. The puzzles feel like real elements of the story progression instead of something random thrown in to slow you down, and I appreciated how exploration and problem-solving heavy the game was as opposed to lengthy dialogue and puzzling for puzzling's sake, which I've found to be the downfall (for me) of most other mystery games. I thought the photograph system where you can hold the photo in the bottom corner of the screen as a reference was brilliant, and the hints were just right. I used them a few times to get me on the right track in terms of what the puzzle wanted out of me, but once I understood the objective, I found each puzzle challenging but not impossible. I didn't totally get the story, especially at the conclusion, but it wasn't a super central part of the game to me anyway. I've played a lot of adventure/mystery/puzzle games trying to scratch the Nancy Drew itch and very few of them have - this was a real treat and I'm very hopeful for more titles from this developer!
Fun if you like puzzle escape room style games with a bit of story, if a bit linear.
Some puzzles had not so great hints but overall a decent game. Sometimes you'll think, "surely the devs aren't making me do this" and yes, the devs are making you do it. It is not an easy game but it feels a bit short. There are lots of locked doors that you never open, at least I think... Good luck.
Myst/Riven flashbacks. Excellent
A lovely gem of a game. I love the art style, the puzzles are great and generally make perfect sense, and you have the hint system that helps with getting over the few bumps one might run into. I would have liked a few more tactile puzzles, since most are of the logical or mathematical variety, but that is personal preference. The maps are pretty small, but dense and packed with details. The story is all right, to be honest Quern easily wins in this department, but it is far from being bad, just all right. My only real criticism is that it is a little short, around 7 hours for me, and there are no secrets to find beyond the main path. That said, an excellent game.
