Gooooo HELLCATS~

It’s So Good to be Bad… at This Game!
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2879326500 GIST: You are a minion of Satan, or was it… the Devil? Nobody ever tells me anything down here! Anyhoo, you are eternally coerced into safely catching wicked sinners as they fall from the sky and into hell, before remorselessly feeding them unto a special juicing mechanism with gears! Since you’re already in hell and all, might as well make the most of a bad situation and be the best juicer ever known to man(?)kind~
[+] PROS;

:D GAMEPLAY
A friendly game of vertical catch, but in the fiery depths of damnation! Only instead of receiving balls, you must break the fall of sinners as they shoot into hell at various velocities… Although the controls are very intuitive to pick up, in that you just go either left or right; the mastery over it is on a whole other league, I’m talking about timing intuition, ability to pull off daring trick shots and just knowing when to keep your cool! You have nine lives per game (hence the hellcat reference) and so each insufferable round can last upwards between like, 1 min (lmfao) to 2 min, that is if you are at my level… This is now my 2nd favorite nether-regions-themed game after the bullet hell Good Knight. However, I can safely say it’s still ranked 1st overall in terms of lightning fast arcade action titles that I can come back to unless hell finally freezes over~
:D GRAPHICS
Try to visualize what hell looks like- I’m willing to bet nine lives that whatever you had in mind will match what the game serves you on a silver platter! Fire dancing and swirling around the Devil at the base of the contraption, whose size of gaping mouth is second only to its insatiable appetite. The seemingly endless supply of fresh bodies dropping from the sky which bleeds all sorts of unconventional colors, only to be made into mush and their body fluids turned into rancid gravy. My delight can only be expressed through The Weather Girls’ It’s Raining Men… and Women but sinner edition! Two devilish details that I deeply appreciated is that, firstly, carcasses even react differently depending on where you receive them. Some get lodged in the gear mechanisms and others go for one last hurrah of a ride on the conveyor belt. Secondly, things could even fly out of frame or catapult towards you as an honest-to-God final measure to get you to repent, including the aforementioned bodies! That’s not all, there’s a very nostalgia-ridden presentation to the game both inside and out. From the PS1-ness in its graphics and spooky touches in the effects, the beautifully laid out game manual, which they went out of their way to create, and smoking hot (& not to mention extra) cutscenes… You could stand-in for the Devil because this game really DOES force feed you so much piping hot goodness~
:D SOUND:
Granted, I’ve never been to hell… except in my dreams- you would think nightmares, but nope! Anyway, I reckoned it captured that disorderly and cynical vibe very well. During play, there’s a delicious 80s synthwave; think of the rhythm as somewhere between Berlin’s “Take My Breath Away” and John Carpenter’s Michael Myers theme but baked in with some drums and organ. Standalone, they’re enough to have you quite taken, but then the screams of anguish from both males and females come into the fray. It becomes a cacophony of torture, and surprisingly is pleasing to the ears… maybe there’s something fundamentally wrong with me. The track that plays in the main menu is foreboding and I have stabbing flashbacks to Psycho’s Murder music. And at the game over screen, you are greeted by a “chillin’ like a villain” feel so it can finally dawn on you as to how lousy you really are. The credits are accompanied by fallen angels singing an aria so melodious you forget the bloody spectacle before your peepers~ https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2879327295
:D IT’S TIME KILLER
Just to reiterate, while there are not all that many game modes as of yet, apart from the “practice” and “regular”, that doesn’t mean there won’t be others in the distant or even near future! After all, the neat little “collection” feature, which gets more and more filled with mini-bios when you manage to catch special VIPs that randomly spawn. What are they of? Well, names, portraits, and biggest evils of both actual and fictionalized sinners… whose final destinations were, let’s face it, most likely hell and rightly so! Those nuggets of mystery and of suspense as to who you might run into next is what keeps you coming back, umm- not that you could leave this realm whenever you so desired anyway…! Besides, you won’t be the only handler of this hellish device, and you have to outcompete the other sorry saps via high score rankings in a never-ending journey to appease the hand that feeds you… by feeding Him back~
[-] "CONS";

:O MENU NAVIGATION:
I know you’re meant to lose your way in hell and all, but you’ll find that even before getting there, you’re bound to wander into oblivion just from having explored the menu. The reason why this is not as big a deal, is that it only happens seldomly. For instance, mistakenly pressing a button while you’re in the options menu but somehow finding yourself in the “collection” section. Another is that the arrow and WASD keys at times become interchangeable when browsing the options but then suddenly one of them gets locked out. A good fix for this, I think is to display the prompts at the bottom so players know which is the “back” function and which is the “select” function. Maybe this confusion is intentional as well? That’s not such a stretch actually~
BUGS:
x It has been recognized as a feature by the devs; but whenever the gears get overwhelmed by sinners, the catcher/trough/basin will jut upwards.
NITPICKS:
~ Tough to tell apart one of the skin-colored sinners from the shade of the sky. ~ Gameplay balances; speed, strictness or just add additional difficulty modes!
Seconds? ANYONE!?

Hells. To. The. Yeah. GOTTA CATCH-THEM-ALL!
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2879328048 Handsome devil of an arcade title infinitely rains down pleasure and brings the heat! The SIN-thwave sound especially has you spellbound. Not much to do, but I’ll be damned if I let that spoil things~
VERDICT: 4.75 / 5

All hail VIRTUA WORLDS, LLC for their cruelest intentions, infinite cunning and eternal generousness for this severance package which turned out to be a key!

Don't forget to follow my curator DaRevieweD for more games!!
A simple Kaboom-style arcade game set alight by its Satanic style. Catch damned souls singed with hellfire as they rain from a sulfurous sky forsaken by God! Move your blood-stained bucket left and right to guide these precipitate sinners into Hell's own juicing machine for the Great Beast's endless brunch! Left or right is all you get! Don't question it, because It's all lost souls like you deserve! You're here forever so you better learn to love it! (And I did enjoy that simplicity quite a bit, thanks.) Here's a few shreds of info prospective devil-feeders might find interesting: The bucket has momentum; use it to your advantage! You can catch souls with the bare edge of it, and that's exactly how you snare those that seem too far away from each other. Striking the "biblically accurate angels" with the bucket gives you a momentary breather by turning all the souls on screen into blood rain. It's a stylish and simple game that's great for the price. I scored over 1,000,000! Can you beat me?
A solid old-school arcade-style game, with that proper classic potato chips addictive quality. Cool and unique visual style and a nice OST. Great for when you just wanna unwind a bit and get sucked in. The feeling really brought back memories of sitting way to close to the TV playing games for way too long, when I was supposed to be in bed as a kid. My eyes sting from not blinking. Buy it, I'd say it was worth it at full price.
ENG: Devil Devour Alive DX brings us an arcade game with a very simple premise, catch the sinners that fall from above to put them in a crusher and feed the Devil, the interesting part is in the graphics and sound successfully based on retro games of the 90's. It has leaderboards and the only negative point I find is that it is designed for tate or vertical mode so we will use only 1/3 of the screen in widescreen.
NIghtmarish. Crazy game. Therefore thumbs up. You guys surprised me positively and now I can't sleep.
It's fun.
I really enjoy Devil Devour Alive DX. The graphics remind me of a classic PS1 game, and the music really fits the style of the game. The premise is simple, try to catch the sinners before they fall. It sounds simple enough, but the game is quite challenging. Fun game with some old school elements.
This game definitely makes me feel like I'm back in the 90's! Personally, it gives me a mix of arcade-style game play with a sort of dark theme like Heretic! I like how it feels so familiar! Speaking as someone who's not super great at games, I love the simple yet challenging game play! Anyone can pick it up and play without having to spend a ton of time learning basics! Also, you can't beat the price!
This game is the epitome of the best game steam has ever offered. I would recommend this to any player that steam currently has. I will continue to play this game more than the other games I play including all the Call of Duty franchise.
Fun little game and addicting. Gotta catch them damn sinners for the hungry beast below
