Not only does this not seem like it was not authorized by the original creator of the World's Hardest Game (which is a free game...), this plays horribly in comparison to the original game. Controls are incredibly sluggish and imprecise which the different speed buttons do nothing to help with, checkpoints are removed which breaks the flow of the levels and makes the terrible movement even more glaring...and the person who uploaded the remix that was used never mentioned this release anywhere which makes this doubly sketchy. It just looks like this was quickly thrown together with only the visuals being "original" (aka not stolen), and the achievements were made specifically to give people a reason to buy this crap. I don't mind using content from other sources at all but like at least don't sell stuff that others put out for free lol (especially not if the core of the game is ruined)
best 1 EUR ever spent p.s. i still hate level 19 p.s. i also hate level 28
Blatant rip off of The World's Hardest Game 1. The game claims to be "inspired" by WHG1, but there is nothing really original, and it's inferior to the flash game in almost every way except for not having a frame rate cap. Rip offs are supposed to try to mimic the original, not completely clone it but make it worse. The player is smaller, and can sprint, which sometimes either completely negates the challenge or makes the levels much easier. Also the player seems to have acceleration which completely throws off any precision. All levels are just straight up copied with WHG1 with no actual changes, and therefore aren't fitted for the new player size of controls, the levels have a LOT of safe spots. The sprites are all over the place with circles not even being changed and being blurry as hell. The music is decent enough, but only because they got it from a YouTube remix. Also for the love of god I hate these achievements, you get 3 achievements every level and 2 of them are just a letter and a number. I got over 20 achievements in 8 minutes of playing. The worst part about the game is that it has potential. With changing some sprites, and making original levels instead of copying all of WHG1 without properly fitting it for the new player you could have actually had something better. But this game claims to be WHG1 and wants to be it so bad, so I doubt something like this would actually happen. Overall - Don't buy this, play the original and it's sequel, it may be in 30 fps but it's consistent with it's art, has gameplay that holds up to this day, and is completely free. This is a stupid rip off that has nothing to it's name. To devs: You can do better, try making something original, everyone can do that, it may not be good but it will at least be better than whatever this is that you charge money for.
The World's Hardest Game of Flash is back with a remake on Steam and an ’80s retro style. What a beautiful treat this is. Honestly, it’s amazing and it’s identical to what the original game was. Super enjoyable. Unfortunately, I’ll have to settle for 98% completion because the last two achievements are just… too much. Finishing the game in under 30 minutes with fewer than 30 deaths? Come on. And the levels, you already know them if you played it back in the Flash days, they’re neither easy nor short. Thankfully, they added a few checkpoints to certain levels that didn’t have them originally, but even so, it’s still hard and still a lot of fun. Highly recommended.
E você pensou que só Sekiro era difícil, né?
I bought this game for achievments. Didnt see that you cant put achievment on showcase. Ragequit. Would buy again >D
If you want this because of the Letter Achievements don’t bother buying it, you can‘t showcase them. Also ♥♥♥♥ level 28
🤮
Nostalgia is strong with this one, bought so I could display steam achievements but found out you cannot until the game is reviewed/bought more... you know what to do :)
just as difficult as it should be
