Great game, exactly what I was looking for!
Awesome little game! I can tell the dev put a lot of work into the tons of different systems. Pros: - clean aesthetic with low poly objects that let the lighting do the heavy work. - very nice streamlined quest system that helps you discover the game and all of the things you can build. - quite unique theme based on Kowloon. - gorgeous night sky. Cons: - not very atmospheric / immersive - enemies don't feel very threatening
Not fun, tbh. I played near the 2 hour timeframe and wasn't impressed with any of it. It's a basic dungeon crawler with basic crafting and building mechanics. Nothing new or exciting, or even inspired, about it. I'm not trying to be negative AGAINST the game, it's not "bad" per-say... but it's also just not great. I have NO idea why it's got such a positive review score so far, but maybe just cause its cheaper than other alternatives?
I'd give this game a 6/10. Better than average niche experience that I think a lot would not enjoy but if you're into the grindy survival craft aspect it's decent fun. One of those games I will come back to later when it gets more updates. Would really like some more variety. The food is lacking (maybe add some slime dishes?) and the items are also sparse. Really liked the hidden item or two you could find but would love a proper expansion of what feels bare bones at the moment.
No Autosave so if the game decides to crash like it did me, you'll lose all the progress you made from when you loaded your save. Difficulty is basically just circling enemies and that's it. Will say the Crystal zone is actually poorly designed as well.
The game is fun for a simple dungeon crawler. I like the idea, but the biggest issue is that the does not have a stable save system. I have played for three hours. However during my play time I was nearing the iron armor, when suddenly the game crashed. My last progress that was saved was when I still had the basic tools and armor. As well as most of my building has been undone. So play at your own risk and there does not seem to be another update in sight. Thank you and have a nice day.
